I finally got my car registered and they generated a license plate for my car.

I like the plate and I already used some fantasy to make the license plate makes sense: JHH = Just High Horsepower, 67 = The most famous Mustang year, Z = the first letter of my name.

But they screwed up on a lot of things.

1. They messed up the built date. They registered 28 February 2024 while my car is built on the 28 September 2024. This is a huge mistake because I might get in some trouble when trying to sell the car. Also my first inspection (28 February 2028) will be 6 months before I should go to the inspection, which isn't that big of a deal.

2. They registered my car as a Dark Horse instead of a GT. And the reason why? Because my car has more HP than the European GT and also more HP than the European Dark Horse. Because of this, they thought it was some special Dark Horse with extra horsepower. Even though, they knew that my car has more HP than the European Dark Horse, they could not edit the HP manually, so you can still see that my car has 454hp, just like the European Dark Horse.

3. They wrote that my car goes in 5.2 seconds to 0-100km/h. These are the European Mustangs that are this slow. I'm pretty sure my 10 speed GT is faster than that.

4. And they messed up the worth of my car because of the wrong build date. It says 135k but it should be 149k

I contacted them by mail to see if they could at least change the build date to the right date so I won't have any issues later on.
Bureaurocrats, the buggers are the same everywhere.

Today my first service.

In Europe they use Castrol 0W30 instead of Motorcraft 5W30. I asked them to put 5W30 in it but they adviced me to stay with the European oil to keep my warranty.

First service 487 Euro. Thats around 580 USD.

Today I was eating our Dutch famous fish (kibbeling) and somebody asked me "Wow nice car man. Is that a Dodge Ram?".

This shows how we Europeans know nothing about American cars. They are so rare that they only know some cars by name, but not how they look like.

I lived in Deutschland from 1987-89 and drove a 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 with T-tops, into which I had swapped a larger engine with a large cam (very lopey idle), headers and a Holley 4 barrel with a good intake, and improved cylinder heads. Folks would stop doing whatever they were doing and stare, and kids would get all excited and jump up and down. It was a fun car to drive there (but it would have been more fun if there were strong overdrive transmissions and things like that available in the 80s for the autobahn . . . I would frequently rent a car for longer trips so I could drive faster for long durations, as 3.73 gears with no overdrive ran out of rpm pretty quickly)

Just did a roadtrip through Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.

I drove with my winter wheels that I bought through the German Mustang7G forum and they were pretty good.

Good weather all the time. I'm so lucky!

I am super surprised with this Mustang!

I reached numbers that I would never ever dreamed of to reach.

My average consumption during this 2700km roadtrip is 10.9 L/km (21.6 MPG).

This consumption also consists of many mountain Alp roads with hundreds of twists and ofcourse the German Autobahn where I pressed the right pedal to the max for many many times to see if I can reach the top speed. Unfortunately everytime when I want to reach the top speed, there is some traffic that holds me down. I only reached 233km/h

I never reached this consumption ever. That's crazy.

I'm happy that I can drive at least 500km with 1 full gas tank. Normally I only reached 300. I guess the oil change and my higher kilometers changed my car a bit.

Is German traffic so heavy now across the entire country? That is disappointing to hear.

I guess a lot has changed since I moved back to the United States (1989)

Yep and a lot of roadworks while they are not working.

Haha 1989, the time where just a few had cars. Now a family has at least 2 and many even more cars per house + population growth of more than 10 million.

It's a different world now. Not always for the better

They are kind of "license plate happy" there aren't they?
