Respray took a bit of work because the spoiler is in two sections and is all glued together. They did an incredible job pulling it all apart and putting in back together and paint job is flawless. All up was $1200 which I was more than happy with. You get what you pay for. For me I just had toe have the two colour format.

These guys are top of their game - you should have seen the vehicles there. This one caught my eye an early 60’s Porsche 356 Outlaw - the real deal not a reproduction. This thing had been rear ended and had about $100K repairs. The car was flawless in concours condition and was told estimated value about AU$600K

As mentioned the quality of the spoiler from the eBay seller was perfect and like 5.0 ALM still had all the factory tape etc from delivery so the thing was truly new take-off

Thanks, I agree with respraying,, gotta keep the base same colour as the car for it all to look "right".

Now I've got a feel for spraying and install costs I'm seriously considering getting one.

Money well spent in my opinion. It balances out the car nicely. Bizarre that Ford AU won’t sell the spoiler as a spare. At some point I’m they’ll have to for vehicles delivered with Appearance Pack that have had a collision

Keep us posted on your journey with this

I’m looking as well at installing a rear spoiler and I checked some shops mentioned in the forum.
Basically in Australia we have super expensive options, if ordering from US shipment costs are ridiculous.

Hopefully Ford AU will have some spares soon.

The way I figured it I ignored the shipping cost from the US and just looked at the total cost compared to purchasing locally. I’m very happy with what I did.

yes, buying these items (like the spoiler) locally is almost impossible due to cost.

I'll keep an eye on the ebay vendor... and try to not look at the shipping cost 🙃

Anyway I'm still undecided if I want a black spoiler, or a matching colour race red spoiler + boot lip bolted to it.

Just bought an Atlas Blue factory 2nd spoiler from BMZ Collectibles in the US.

Will get the spoiler section sprayed black locally to go with my Black pack, hopefully they can fit it too. otherwise ALM's video will come to the fore :)

Mine arrived today (took 5 days from the US to my door) $1,250 inc shipping,

Hoping to only spend a couple of hundred to get it painted black.

Has a couple of small scratches (<15mm long) which you won't see unless you're right up close.

Personally I think a DH PP spoiler is a bit OTT for a GT, esp with gurney flaps

Did you retain the delete panel they took off? Mine's getting fitted atm and I'm not sure if I want it back - doubt I'll go without a spoiler again. Could it affect resale?

I've retained mine.
Why not?

Some muppet could have ruined their own panel whilst trying to drill it out, and might be looking for a spare to purchase. Can you imagine how much these would be to buy through your local Ford dealer.

Picked mine up after spraying last Fri, very happy with the end result. Only took them 2 days to paint and fit it (and they left the old panel in the boot).

Costs as follows for those interested:

Wing = $1250 shipped from US via BMZ collectibles
Spraying in gloss black and fitting = $750 at a local panel beater
New PPF on spoiler and delete panel PPF + ceramic coating = $330 (to be completed in 4 weeks)
Total = $2,330

Still cheaper than going via a local supplier and after clean up I couldn't see any scratches/chips on it.

Looks good - the black spoiler really works well with the black pack
