Maybe it's different road surfacing we use, but I have not had the rears spin up on a dry road even accelerating hard mid corner to pass a truck. When I say hard, it was wife doing the sign of the cross hard.

We skimp on asphalt here in the US. It goes years between resurfacing, and in northern states it's even worse. It's half the thickness of say, mainland Europe, so when it expands and contracts, then collects water, cracks and potholes form with more frequency. We have generally poor enforcement of weight from trucks so we get pretty severe ruts in some of the pavement, even some of our interstates, and again because we skimp, we go longer between resurfacing, meaning the surface abrasion gets worn down to almost "smooth as glass". The state road leading to my house is like this.

I should have qualified my post. Our roads are crap, but grippy when fresh. What we have is "summer ice", when the cheap "environmentally safe" tar melts at 25C and comes to the surface. Then, when it rains it's lethally slippery.

They are not drag radials. They are for the other kind of track. 180 treadwear track focused tires that come with only 6/32" of tread when new.

I'm saying in general. Especially with any sort of summer/track tire that relies on heat to maintain traction.
