I have a Mustang gt, grabber blue and thinking of installing a rear wing spoiler (black). Any suggestions from your experiences? Worth the money?

I've personally been waiting for a nice big wickerbill to come out. been waiting forever. If I had to recommend any right now best bet is a DH style. They seem to look the best in my opinion for what's in the market.

I think black accents look terrific with grabber blue, so I would definitely put a black spoiler on that car. I like the spoiler that comes on the performance pack cars. The night pony package version is black.

I went from the stock "blade" spoiler to a Dark Horse HP spoiler and I think it made a huge difference (to me anyway). If your car didn't come with a spoiler, you will have to drill the holes, but I would have rather done that than remove the adhesive!

Thanks but what is a DH style?

Is this glued on (adhesive) ?

That's the Air Design spoiler. Ford and all the parts vendors sell it. It uses double sided tape and adhesive. Mine lasted through an Arizona summer with no issues. It seems pretty sturdy.

There are several threads on these spoilers if you do a forum search.

I recommend the DH style one from AM, pretty good price point for the quality and looks 😎

Edit: Avoid the adhesive spoilers at all costs! It is more worthwhile (and cheaper) to get a screwed on spoiler. You’ll only have to drill holes once, if at all, and install it once compared to having the adhesive spoilers lift and rip the paint up with it (I learned this the hard way). The spoiler trunk panel is plastic and easy to drill through, just worry about getting the holes properly aligned if they aren’t already pre-drilled.

I think I misquoted this style. It's a Dark Horse style spoiler, not the Dark Horse HP. The HP style is what slowboy2.3 has (with the wicker bill, I believe). I also got mine at American Muscle.

I agree too many rtr style spoilers. I want one that flares over the rear quarters. Never was a fan of the weird rtr cut off look. its kinda ghetto fabulous.

If you get the air design spoiler like Ryan has (and i have one also....)

.....there is no drilling, it's all tape and silicone. Sold direct from Ford.

Then get rear and side louvers and a black out panel...then maybe the Air Design front splitter. 😁
