I’m very impressed with my Dark Horse so far after about a month of ownership.
Only reason I got it was for the Tremec and it does not disappoint!
Absolute drivers car.
Interior is really a big upgrade from my Mach 1.
We miss you over on 6G! 😂 you’re gonna miss all the posts on my ESS install! 😂

Mike, what’s up buddy!? I’m going to follow your build for sure! You know that’s the direction I almost went with my Mach 1.
I wish you were closer , I’d come help!
I’m noticing the 6g forum is more old school and the 7g has way less content . But I guess that should be expected.

7G will probably start picking up. There is a lot less traffic these days in the what did you do to your Mach 1 today thread! We have become irrelevant 😂

Curious on how happy you all are that have Dark Horses currently? Any regrets on getting the dark horse over a premium GT? I have a 25 400A GT premium currently & debating on going the dark horse way next time I trade in the future. Do many of you use it for daily driving? I would not take it to the track. would most likely just go with the 600A trim level with no additional options to keep cost lower, they come pretty well optioned out. Only thing I wish the 600A came with is the cooled seats, those are nice to have. Thanks!
Best mustang I have had out of the four. Just can't wait until they unlock to do some tuning and mods. Would buy all over again if I had the choice.

SOLD: 2011 Mustang GT, 2016 Mustang V6, DH ordered
This is my third Mustang and I can say the DH is the best of them all. I am in love with the Tremec and the V8. Don't care much about the DH - HP output as my 2011GT Premium had over 400hp and that was OK, but 6 speed getrag and the solid rear axle was a big let down.

When I got my 2016 -V6-Auto with the IRS that was a game changer on the ride quality and handling compare to the 2011. The DH with the MagneRide, Tremec and the IRS make it perfect for me. I love every moment I get to drive it. BTW- I got it and drove it home from my dealer on April 17th, 2024 a special day in Mustang history.

Now, I hope that Ford would in the future consider making a 4 door sport-sedan with the Tremec and the V8 using all the good chassis parts of the S650.

Make it a station wagon style for the dog.

Just learned today that the Dark Horse has much lighter 2-piece rotors stock....BONUS!
I did $2k Girodisc slotted rotors on my Mach 1 which were standard GT PP rotors to get the weight savings.

yeah I like most everything the Dark Horse offers and it is more rare compared to GT's and has an unique look. the only thing I wish they included cooled seats standard on the dark horse like they are on the GT premium. at that price Ford should make that standard as well as the aluminum foot pedals standard as they are on the GT premium. maybe Ford will update some things in coming model years. they also should come standard with wider tires, they can fit 275's front and 295's rear on the wheels the standard dark horse comes with. make it different from the PP GT tire sizes.

I love mine and with the Tremec it shifts smoothly I have Super charged mine and just received my DSS 2000 HP rear axle shafts today so we be banging some gears at the track this summer.
Please let me know how that install goes and how they hold up! I have been thinking about doing the same thing in preparation for more power later on.

So - I have had 2 S550 Mach 1’s, both with HP option FANTASTIC CARS. When the S650 came out I wanted the DH edition as the similarity between it and the Mach 1 is/was close. Ordered a Blue Ember 24 and it never showed up. Allocations were an issue, HP build was a problem, blah, blah, blah. Got tired of waiting and found a GT Premium with HP pretty optioned out from the factory on a dealers lot I believe sticker was $62K - IT WAS WHITE, that’s how come I say what I say about the Dove Boat. Long story got it for under dealer invoice and a rebate and a great interest rate.

HATED IT - kept pouring money into it to make it right - till I realized, it would never be right. Sold, it got a couple of Vettes, hated them more 🤣. Found my current DH and cut a deal with the dealer got it for below dealer invoice was sitting in dealer showroom foreva’ they needed out from under it.

Now, I am waiting on an allocation from my dealer for one of the new GT 500’s when Ford finally gets off the crapper on building those supposed to be 26 model year with a guesstimate of North of $100k …

Moral of the story - don’t settle buy what your heart desires …👍🏻

I also went from Mach 1 to DH.
So after all those cars, you’re satisfied with the DH , or need to trade it for the gt500?
Manual or stick on the stangs?
