Have found mycar service centre helpful near me, they did my Santa Fe battery hassle free, it is a franchise, so hoping same service everywhere.
But then so is Ford. And yet every Ford dealer is run differently, and the actions of dealers directly correlate with the Ford brand image. You can send out as many customer surveys as you want, but at the end of the day, its not the customer making mistakes or giving poor service is it.

Still trying to decide where to get 12 month service done on the Gold coast so I don't have a service situation tale to tell
I actually skipped the 3000km inspection. Mainly because its nowhere near 3000 km, but also because I didn't see the point in lending them my car for a day and nothing being done. I'm told it doesn't affect warranty.

DFB5.0 when you say it doesn't affect warranty that reminded me, I told the dealer I got someone else to do the oil change as he can see it was at 96% on his monitor, he told me oil changes do not affect warranty, you can get it done with anyone. I will never get a dealer to do my oil changes from now on.

It's a very fine line to walk.

My dealers service department told me that the Peace of Mind Inspection is not mandatory for warranty purposes. And even though it expires at 3-months/3000km, because I bought the car from them, they would honor it outside of those limits. I was told that nothing is done at the 3000km inspection, it's basically a way of touching base and explaining any queries you may have. At the time, I had about 900km on the clock, so too early for an oil change anyway. So, I decided to save myself a anxiety attack and skip it.

As for servicing in general, the car company is obliged to honor warranties no matter who the car is serviced with. This applies to all brands on sale. However..............................

In the past I've had warranty repairs done outside of the time cutoff, simply because I'd had the car maintained at the dealer or within the Ford system. As in, a goodwill gesture for being loyal. Is it worth the extra cost and anxiety? I'm not really sure.

This was in Casablanca, and for some odd reason, thought of you D!

Starting to see more S650's on the road now. Earlier this week, I even spotted another Race Red with the Night Pony Pack parked in someone's driveway. I thought I was the only one in the village................ oh, wait, that's another.................

Today marks one year since Miss. S650 arrived at the dealer, more than two years after I had ordered the car.

This was my first sighting of it, a graining text message.

I remember exactly what I was doing, in the bank starting to make arrangements to pay for the thing. Less the five minutes later, I was at the dealer to see it in metal, glass, plastic and rubber.

I had to wait another 7 days for it to be mine, having already waited 730+ days, what's another 7 in the grand scheme of things.

And in the coming days, you'll receive a "birthday present" from Ford.

Yeah, I've already been sent that.

I'll be honest, when I read your post about it a few weeks ago, I didn't even realize it was a thing. Just shows how useful navigation is to me, never even looked at it in the menus. Needless to say, I'm not paying $110 for something I never use. I don't even use Apple Car Play.

A lot has changed since that day, it's been 12-months since I worked for you know who. Although they probably suspected it, but I walked out at the end of my last day before LSL knowing in my heart and head it would be the last time. Two weeks prior I had been verbally assaulted with an audience, a situation that keeps running through my scarred mind. I held it together for those two weeks, knowing the end was in sight. By that stage, my body was functioning on adrenalin alone. A few weeks later I was in hospital, the recovery eating a months' worth of my leave. By end of December, I'd officially quit, which also coincided with the imminent passing of my workplace grandmother. The funeral was civil but extremely awkward.

In many ways, the funeral was the final hurdle to clear before gaining my freedom. I now sleep at night, which in itself has been a revelation. My near entire life is no longer a constant state of dread, fear and anxiety.

So that car above represents both pleasure and pain. The pain I went through prior to its arrival, but also the pleasure of being free of the asylum.

A few favourite shots of the Mustang....................

Beautiful car. Beautiful photos. Driving off to a better future with the sound of a Coyote in the background is a beautiful thing. Hopefully those bad things left behind for good.

Got the correct color! It's such a noble thing to keep the radar jockies off other people's butts.....not really. I just cannot drive anything but a red car.
