I have not had the car out for several weeks, but this last weekend we took a trip on some of the back two lane highways and I noticed that the cruise control when set was all, over the place. when topping a small hill it would throttle back and slow the car, then regain its speed in an aggressive manor. The same thing would happen going into some curves as if the car thought I was going to fast. Up down in and out, it never shut off but was not smooth in any terrain or driving transition.
I have 8,000 miles on the car and it has not show this type of behavior before. There also seems to be more throttle lag from a stop. Could this be from a OTA update? I say this because I now have an change oil soon notification, Just change less than 1000 ago, and all my custom lighting color choices have been changed.
I have checked all my custom settings, the mode I normally drive in, and not found any changes.
On a side not when interstate driving with cruise on, the car will momentarily reduce power when a car pulls over in front of me as if the adaptive cruise is on, a feature I have disabled....

What's your following distance set to?

Adaptive cruise can be frustrating in traffic, you've always got to watch for slow movers jumping left in front of you. If I see someone about to do that I keep my foot above the throttle and slightly gas it to override the abrupt slowing to keep distance. If it's a long line of slow movers, I back off a little and let the gap restore, or if it's over crowded I may close the gap to keep impatient slow movers in the right lane from jumping over. Some situations don't lend themselves to cruise control. Think I10 around Houston, I-95 from Petersburg to north of b'more, etc.

As for the back roads - I'm not able to comment as I don't use CC on back roads like you describe. Maybe someone else has some wisdom to share.

Hum. I find the Cruise Control to be very functional, easy to use, and almost nonintrusive.
Just made my first long distance trip this morning in my DH. Was a 7 hour trip. Majority of the time I had it in 6th gear with adaptive cruise control on. Got almost 25mpg and adaptive cruise c9ntrol worked extremely well.

Although you indicated you checked your custom settings did you check your custom options? You mention your colors were reset did you confirm your cruise setting wasn’t reset as well? Maybe try toggling on/off so to confirm not a display mistake, unfortunately tech ain’t mechanical and can sometimes get out of sync.

Good point. Last update I got OTA not only reset the colors, etc., but also whacked quiet start setting.
