Remote Start on a 2025 101A AE Ecoboost Mustang

Hello Everyone, I want to go ahead and pick everyone's brain a bit.
(Since this may be something a lot of us have wanted to look into.)

I have an Ecoboost that did not come with Remote Start on the fob which is a bummer since it works faster than FordPass.

Things I have tried.
- Buying a new fob to program X2
- Enabling Remote Start in Forscan and trying the lock/unlock/lock on fob
- Viewing the Ford Security Perimeter Plus module which brings Remote Start (My Last Option)

Both keyfobs I have matched FCC ID and IC along with frequency. The board number on my original is G8800 I don't know if that my have something to do with it...

Is there anything else I can try ? anyone have ideas or an experience where they got it working?

Which lines did you change in ForScan and which ECUs?

I want to do the same. I have ordered a 5 button fob which should arrive today or tomorrow.

With that you should have to press lock and engine start button on the fob 2x.

The lock/unlock/lock does not work.

Yeah I know,
I did all that and I did not have to change lines in Forscan since Remote start was already enabled.

But I did enable “Remote Start Parking Lights”
That just turns on the lights dimly when you remote start the car which is nice since it gives you an indicator that your car is on.


I ended up installing the perimeter plus that gives remote start… because nothing else was working, but if you get that fob to work let me know. I tried 2 fobs and no go.

I got the fob and took it to a locksmith to get it programmed and it works!

I enabled remote rev as well in the PCM but that didn't seem to work. Some say it is linked to the AE only.

This is the fob I ordered. You need to select Mustang, and the variant with 5 Buttons and the Sedan shape for the boot.

What year is your Mustang and what trim ?
also what is the coding inside the fob like the numbering ?

Yeah that’s the thing,
2024’s had the system to remote start they just didn’t bring fob.
But it seems that 2025’s are just missing remote start module in general so we can’t do it :(
