Also, 2025 Q2 sales of the Mustang were higher than 2024 Q2 sales which was the s650's first Q2.

In the sf Bay Area. It is not often that I see another S650 on the road. Sales are indeed slow. Interested to see how it may help on resale value in the long term.

As much I don’t like it, we may need a 4 door Mustang to keep the sales numbers up
They won’t combine sales like that. Lmao. I bet they’ll be separate and the coupe sales will decrease quicker from cannibalization. (Just like in other eras where manufacturers made 2 or more cars that all did similar things)

I don't think the sedan would outsell the coupe. It'd barely sell.

People are in debt right now due to recent past years where inflation was ridiculous and untenable. Just the economic facts. I know someone that has debt because she had to buy groceries on a credit card. Thanks to....

That’s interesting, why don’t you think so?

If it’s the only sedan in their lineup it should do alright. (kinda why I think it would be a great opportunity to use a new name)

My fear with how things have been ran would be them thinking it still LOOKS like a Mustang so let’s just replace it with the sedan.

Then the goal post moves from “Sedan will save sales” to “at least we still have a Mustang.” Even though the coupe dying would mean the car is dead.

YTD is almost down 10% from a horrific year last year. Wow if the next gen doesn’t do better they will axe the car.
That year to date percentage is because of the first couple of months of the year. It was slowly catching up but the recall has put a stop on sales. This month was higher than the same period last year and that was with a quarter of August having a stop sale. The past 4 months have been higher sales from the same time last year.

Dude you can make all the excuses you want. It’s gone from bad to worse and as of right now prime performance car selling season is over. The first drop in sales is after July 4 and after Labor Day it’s over.
The Mustang took an “L” last year and is going to take a bigger “L” this year watch. The season is over.
