They need to man up with the Paul's Stable issue, here, before I would ever do it. Sad because it looks good and would otherwise consider it.

I think the metallic bottom of the vent is the heat absorbers and wondered if plastic would give lesser heat?
They are both 100% plastic the ford one is just made of a higher quality and more dense plastic

Welcome to the South. I‘m in the Houston area and we have the same climate as Florida. Cut it with a knife first, then chew!!! Lmbo!!!

Nice Vent Hood by the OP!! Wonder would rain have any effects on the Internals seeing that this is a More Open concept??
Looking straight down the vent you mostly see the radiator cover so I’m not seeing it an issue parked and in the rain there is positive pressure there so it doesn’t go in. The only thing that I could see that would get water all over would be an automatic car wash. Plus all engine bay / underbody electrical connectors are wether pack connectors (have rubber gaskets protecting the wires/terminals) so unless you’re intentionally spraying them or modified something under hood I wouldn’t be worried about it

I can’t speak to his situation on his order but I placed mine on a Friday afternoon and received it the following Thursday. The hood vent is also available on other vendor websites (https://carbonaddons.com/products/2024-s650-mustang-hood-vent-direct-replacement-abs) I’m sure they all come out of the same factory in china

I've looked at new hoods every so often, im torn between the super snake style hood or the glass cutout hood that C2customs has listed now that I've got a fancy blower. Probably will just stick with what I have for the time being since I would want any new hood paint matched
I love the super snake style hood. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that anyone was making one yet. I'd want it paint matched too.

Basically the hotter the temps the hotter the air right at / above that piece is getting. Meaning - in theory - more heat is escaping and the engine is cooler because less heat is being trapped.

Wanna Really cool off those underhood temps…

remove the factory exhaust manifolds and send them out to be SwainTech coated. Put em back on.

instant 20 degree cooler underhood temps

Update

Just drove the car about an hour in some heavy rain with mixed highway and city driving. Opened the hood immediately after I got home to inspect and take pictures. The only water I found was on the radiator cover, the engine and front accessories were dry. It looks like some of the water is coming out of the rectangular holes by the front corners of the vent. I’m guessing this is where ford designed the water to come out and I bet it comes out of the same area with the factory vent.

Looks good. Is the mesh plastic or metal?

I recently installed the Shelby style hood vent from w2bodykits mostly for looks but was curious on functional differences as well. The vent is much lighter than the factory one and slots onto the hood versus having a clip retention method on the rear, the front bolts on in a similar style as the factory one. As far as functionality I don’t have a good way to measure air flow on hand but I do have a thermal camera that I like to play around with. I took a drive around the block with both vents on and tried to take similar pics. With the factory vent on I couldn’t see too much heat but the Shelby style was obvious. It will be interesting to see if it makes any difference on temps next time I take it to the track

I've had mine on my car since spring and the front middle is starting to warp up. There's no mount or reinforcement there so a bit of adhesive tape will have to do for now. I ordered this: 2024-Up Ford Mustang EOS Performance Front Hood Vent Insert Cover
Carbon fiber and half the cost of the Anderson Composites/Shelby version. We'll see how it goes!
