With all the money you blow on this car you should have put a drag pack and an axle upgrade on this car after the Whipple.Took my s650 Mustang with the stage 1 whipple supercharger to the drag strip. It didn’t go as well as I expected it to. Back to modding!
I plan on upgrading the axles and I don’t go to the strip enough to get a full drag pack. I may see if I can barrow one or get a ghetto wheel and tire on the back for next time. For sure! With all the money you blow on this car you should have put a drag pack and an axle upgrade on this car after the Whipple.
I’m shocked you ran this car without a drag pack or at least go ghetto and get a rear tire and wheel.
I know you want/need views and clicks but that was just plain dumb.
A Steeda Stop the Hop kit is a nice mod but that come AFTER a drag pack and axles.
I would not spend a penny on that car, buy any parts, or go back to the track until you have a wheel and tire combo with an axle upgrade.I plan on upgrading the axles and I don’t go to the strip enough to get a full drag pack. I may see if I can barrow one or get a ghetto wheel and tire on the back for next time. For sure!
You don't need much other than a tireDealers are so ecstatic to sell a Whipple to their customers. They never seem to tell the customer about the rest of the mods needed for such power, and that the Whipple could help a person destroy his/her car. They (dealers) just want your money.
Not having a whipple, everything else I’ve read / seen say that 5.0 + whipple without the high HP half shafts = towed home from drag strip if you push hard. Maybe not the first run, butYou don't need much other than a tire
it's the long term health of things like the trans
Purchase two GTs about this time of year, they cheaper. One in 6 speed for town etc, and one with an A10 for the strip. Use street modes for 6 speed, and race mods for A10 for serious racing. You don't need much other than a tire

I know a person who's used a whippled S550 with GT350 shafts for years without problems. Not having a whipple, everything else I’ve read / seen say that 5.0 + whipple without the high HP half shafts = towed home from drag strip if you push hard. Maybe not the first run, but
The power delivery circuit fuse on this car is the tires. Put drag radials on and all that power is going to find the path of least resistance.
Bold move taking a stock suspension GT, tires and all with a whipple to the drag strip but good work keeping it straight.
I'm old back in the day an 11 second car on a street tire was considered fast.Took my s650 Mustang with the stage 1 whipple supercharger to the drag strip. It didn’t go as well as I expected it to. Back to modding!
