It always blows my mind when people say a tune won't do much for a stock NA car. I've had a few cars tuned in my life and I've always felt a difference. 15-20whp on a stock car is noticeable....its just a starting point until you add more mods.
I think people contrast it to boost and if your comparing boost will always be drastic. I do agree with you though. On my s550 I did catless headers and a intake and the tune really did wake it up

How much of that is confirmation bias? That is, if you paid a lot for a tune, it must have had an effect? You feel what you expect to feel after shelling out the cash for a tune!

I would say you definitely notice a diff going from stock to a tune. However, them saying they notice 15 whp is wishful thinking. It starts becoming noticeable at 30whp, and becomes very noticeable in 50whp increments. The difference you notice in stock to a tune is just the improvement in tq delivery because the tuners arent bound by the epa shit or the one size fits all bs . that the manufacturers are

Is that why folks don’t respect the dh?

That steeda vid they just posted should frame it all up…

Ported heads, ported intake, longtube headers, steeda CAI on full E85 …. Gained 25/20ish over stock tune.

YMMV as they say.
Link please, is that peak or median. Improving peak isn’t the point, making fat the curve is the desire

i genuinely think at this point every ones results may vary. I’ll prob get some headers and steeda filters tune and call it a day before I just go boost.
