Amazing power BUTT UGLY IMO! Could not would not want to be seen in something that Fugly!

I like several BMWs and I have been to the BMW museum in Germany so I certainly have some respect for "The Ultimate Driving Machine" but Fugly is the first word that came to my mind as well. Looks like someone was trying to build a kit car and didn't finish or something.

Oh, well unlike most others on here I do like the M2 and almost bought a manual.
But V8 sound; Tremec manual, BMW cost of ownership and overall looks had me go with the Dark Horse few months ago.
My wife has the 22 X5 m-sport and that’s enough BMW in one garage for me at this point in my life:

To be frank the 1st 4 yrs of ownership BMW does all the maintenacne. After that just use an independent service. My last M car, a 2013 E92 M3 I had for 8 yrs and the car never saw the dealer for work on the car other than maintenance.

We will see as our X5 is 4 years this Xmas.
Problem is at 4 year’s warranty is up. No 5 year powertrain..
Also maintenance doesn’t include oil changes at 5k or tire rotations so that’s a bit shady when these German companies include “maintenance “
I have done my own at 5k.
At the end of the day I think the BMW being a nightmare is blown out of proportion because of models in the past being super expensive to repair.
BMW M cars are better than Mustangs in many ways but what’s not better is how much cheaper it is to modify your car or repair it. That’s a simple fact to be considered.

What is sad is they used to cover that. In 2020 they changed that. I remember at 38k miles on my 04 E46M3 I got new rotors. Now you have to pay for that package. However, my dealer also offers free loaner cars. In fact I had an 850i as a loaner for the day while my 1200 mile service was done.

The explaination I heard from a Beemer specialist Tech was that BMW gurarantee that power rating under any reaonable condition it maybe driven in. So stinking hot and at reasonably high altitude they say it'll make rated power.
But the thing sure hit every branch of the ugly tree. If I had one I'd be carrying a hanky to wipe it's nose all the time.

That is your opinion...a lot of us like the quirky looks of the G87.

The Adro kit fixes all of the M2’s looks for me.

But they have excessive branding on their kit for some reason
