Broken fake air vent

I want to start off by saying I’ve had this car for 2,500 miles, and I absolutely love it. I got my first oil change at 1,000 miles, and I’m not gonna say I drive like a civilian—but I’m not tailgating anyone either. I just noticed this today, but looking at past pictures, it’s been like that at least since Sunday. I didn’t buy the car like this. From the looks of it, a rock hit it and dislodged it. It looks like an overall easy fix, but I’m curious if anyone else has run into this. Because if this is normal, I’d be worried. If I just got unlucky, then I’ll feel much better about popping it back in and forgetting about it.





Thanks for all the help in advance! I doubt this would be covered under warranty, but if you think it might be, I’d appreciate the input.

Adding to this it’s very possible that one of my gardeners accidentally kicked up a rock while mowing the lawn and that hit it

Yes, happened to mine too after some idiot backed into my parked car, scratched the bumper too. It's a simple fix, and a good mechanic can easily pop it back in. You need to take the fender liner off in that one spot, and just do it from the inside. Unless the plastic is broken. Doesn't appear like it is on your pic.

Looks more like someone kicked it in or hit it with something based on the scratches and theri lack of being anywhere else.

I was worried about that it does kind of look like that and i don’t know who or were it would have happened

Update took me 5 minutes I used a flat head screw driver to pop out the push pins and get behind the liner thankfully none of the clamps were broken here’s the picks one pic of the side that wasn’t ever broken to compare

I have been but I park miles away from other cars and shopping carts lol but it’s possible
