I have a '24 GT premium with active exhaust and Whipple only exhaust mod is Roush X pipe. I have been reading and researching Kooks catless versus green cats. I decided to go catless because I live in the country, have no neighbors, and want the best performance. My only concern is tuning since it's not available. Will Whipple provide a tune for this set up, even at a fee? Should I not be worried about changing or needing a tune? Thanks for any advice. Gene

DerekBaranProductions on youtube has a video of his install with catless long tubes and I haven't see his have anything going on, there's also a video of a dark horse with the same set up, and I have the same setup too. You should get a sims card in the tomahawk that you send to Whipple a few days before then they send you a tune back off your cars file. Least that's what I seen. Don't thing there will be a fee. Should be fine with the headers and Whipple.

I have the whipple with catless Kooks headers. There is no tune just the whipple tune it came with. You just need the mod that makes the car think u have cats, my performance shop did it same time as whipple. I have no engine light on either.

That’s what I’m running. Just have the check engine light showing on the dash.

Got the kooks long tube no cats installed. So far no light with the extenders from Lethal, couple pulls.
Very loud at start up but not on the road. Not sure of power increase but traction is not a good as it was before.
The guys at Lethal were great to work with and shipping was very quick!

I got kooks catless installed with defoulers and I still keep getting a CEL. I’m either going to change the defouler or run it with a CEL. My mechanic friends are telling me to not run the CEL, and to keep clearing it.

your defoulers have the little mini cats? or are they just spacers?
if its just a spacer your going to want one with a mini cat

How did they get rid cel. I have 2025 s650 waiting for whipple to show up. I put kooks lth with the green cats and H pipe , the shop can't figure out how to get rid of cel. I am on third trip to shop. The trips to the shop wouldn't bother me so much but they are a 1 and 15 minutes one way travel time. They have told me from the start I wouldn't have cel with green high flow cats.

They put a mini cat connected to the sensor to trick it thinking cats are on the car. This is what it says on my invoice. Hope it helps

@Gsi30 You are dealing with INCOMPETENT shops if that’s the case.

I would stay far away, buy the long defoulers from autozone for $10

My O2 sensor spacers were $75 each. And I think your talking about his shop being incompetent because the shop is used is the best in states surrounding me.

Yes this is what I have on my catless headers and I have not had a issue.
Thanks for the info and I had just ordered one for my DH!
