Mine is a MY25 GT and it doesn’t come with the wireless charging. I’ve also seen a picture confirming this. I personally like this function but not sure why they removed it for MY25.

It doesn't work worth a 💩 anyways.. So you are not missing out on anything.

I try to NOT to put my phone there , as it gets super hot and barely charges. This is with a Galaxy S25 Ultra , and a ultra thin case on it. I am shocked it got through R&D in MY24.

likely a mix of cost cutting and people complaining about their phones heating up. it looks to potentially be really easy to retrofit if thats something you want to do

As far as the complaints about wireless charging go - people need to understand that inductive charging is never going to be as fast as corded charging. On average its about 15% slower. And some heat is an expected by-product of the induction process due to the coils that are used.

So if your phone is dead or low on battery, you should always plug it in anway. Wireless wasn't meant to be a replacement in that regard. It's a convenience feature that keeps your phone charged simply by setting it down. I think thats a great feature inside a car. Most issues with wireless charging are due to older phones and thick or bulky phone cases.

My wireless charger slower than I want to but it works! On my Samsung I have it automatically switch to power saver every time I'm in the car so it doesn't heat up as much when charging, then goes back to regular mode when I turn the car off. I love it.

i have no idea what you just asked
The resources got reallocated and are now used to patch the inner front fender ‘aero’ holes, instead of cooking phones they’re patching openings.

Supposedly, the vent holes (no air coming from them that I can feel) is supposed to keep the iPhone (and Android?) from overheating. If the capacity is under about 50% charge, and you're using it, my iPhone does overheat to the point it shuts off. As a result, I do not use the wireless charging.
