Gas Milage 😂 (manual transmission)

I actually just got back from a 3000+ km (1900 mile) round trip to see family. I actually HAND calculated my mileage and adjusted my AFE bias to match along the way so I know I am accurate.

Highest MPG's were seen between 70-90km/h (44-56mph) in 6th running through Jasper National park at about 29MPG.

If kept at 100km/h (62mph) mileage would swing between 27.5MPG and 28.5MPG depending on how hilly it was.

110km/h (68mph) on the faster stretches of the Alberta flatlands were about 27-28MPG. It's when you start doing above that is where you start dropping about 1-1.5MPG per 10km/h (5-6mph) added.

Sounds like the break-in I kind of went with. Vary speed & RPM in 1st - 4th for 100 miles, then add, when fully warmed, up several WOT pulls to set the rings. Then drove spirited, with no shock loads until I could not stop myself ~800 miles I did a "no breaks" burnout, as aggressive as possible, track mode traction control off. As for mpg, I have only done secondary (no highway) roads on road trips. At fill-up the best: 22+ mpg, most of the refills happened with 17+/- mpg.

Mine is short of 5,000 miles and I barely get over 17! Maybe you'll be one of those that get 25 mpg! Good luck! Glenn

My commute is mainly highway driving. I just cruise along in my 6 speed manual GT convertible and average ~430 miles until empty.

lol no second tank. Just keeping RPMs below 2k for that daily commute.

This was my S550 auto a few years ago - not predicted - mostly actual. And that was averaging nearly 70mph for 4 hours.
