On my new GT the hood vent is totally open to the engine compartment. No screen or anything. Is this correct? The hood vents on my 2022 Ecoboost were screened. TIA.

This is correct.

My Dark Horse had the same and the GT I recently drove (to test out Michelin Pilot Sport 4S) also had the same.

Thanks. Greatly appreciated. Just wanted to ensure that something was missing.

Yesterday I was thinking about it.
Don't feel comfortable when there is rain the whole day. Might create something that I can attach quick to block it of when know that my car has to stand in the rain forna few days.

Fortunately mine is garaged when I’m not driving it, or if I’m on a trip. I’m not worried about it, but was surprised and curious.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. I have heat extractors on my Grand Cherokee with the SRT hood. It's been through rain, snow, car washes, etc. for over 5 years with no issues at all.
