What is this "FOB" connected to steering wheel

See attached picture. The "FOB on a wire" comes out just below the steering column on my son's 2024 Mustang GT. We didn't see it in the manual and he hadnt seen it. Any ideas? The car was purchased new.

It's an aftermarket switch for something...follow the wires to see where it goes

My quick google search says it's for some LED lighting that is on the car.

Google Search says NARVA switch. So a switch for whatever you want to switch.

Agree with smurfslayer. Most likely some sort of tracking device. Funny how things such as this end up missing like a sock in a dryer.
