Stop/start after recall preformed

Has anyone had the 24E05 recall performed on the Mustang? My system has never functioned. I got a recall notice back in Oct and made an appointment at the local dealer. A few days prior they called and canceled the BCM reprogramming. I received a call yesterday from service and they want to schedule the recall again.

My question: Has anyone had the recall done and if so is there anything else that has been affected by the reprogramming?
It's not that I don't trust Ford but I don't trust their software.

I was fighting with ford since May about the start stop not working. I have the manual so they would tell me I didn't.drive the. Are enough then they try to say it doesn't come on manuals but it's on the window sticker, the build sheet I made and in the owners manual. I went to 2 different ford dealers and had it in about 4 times total and had a tech come out to flash the software update. It had 2 or 3 updates that were supposed to fix it but never did. I've given up on it as ford techs as well as their tech company they contact throughout the process are complete morons and liars. I'm sorry to tell u but unless they come up with an update that works, it probably never will.

Thanks for your imput. With info I'm not going to let them touch the car. I wanted my 3 pedal car to have all the systems functional but like you I dont any trust in their software. I can live with the free $1000 system that does work.

And people wonder why Americans buy Japanese cars. Look at all the models which have been dropped by American car manufacturers. I love my country, I love some of our cars. But to commute at a good distance I choose one of the Japanese cars. I grew up with American cars that never skipped a beat. I have three American products all with the same problems. Two Crown Vic interceptors, and an Eddie Bauer. Cracked intakes and other engine problems. Only American car I drive is my new Mustang. Because I like it. It's sad to see what's happened to our auto makers.

My ASS stopped working for a few months and then started up again.

You can add "ASS Status" to your center screen tiles - mine would always say "battery charging" when it wouldn't work.

So I got used to not shutting it off with the button. Then one day, my shit stopped at a light. It's back to working so I just turn it off. Trained my kids to turn it off for me if I forget.

This is a 2025 GT/manual.
