Cold start idle down “chirping” 30 to 60 seconds , then goes away .

That is going to be a hard one. If it only does it on a cold start you got 60 seconds to listen for it. Then you got to shut it down and wait for it to get cold again. I have not heard of or seen this.

The chirp only last 60 secs or less then goes away… it starts when the engine idles down then the last 30 to 60 seconds then it goes away.

@Petes24Gt ..... yes, mine does exactly the same thing. I'll see if I can post a video. Took it to two techs I trust and both said it was nothing to worry about. One said maybe a belt that squeaked a bit on start up. It sounds louder if I'm in the garage. Goes away as soon as revs drop, then I never hear it again until it's been left a long time - like overnight. I have a 2024 GT Premium Convertible that has not been rough handled. I do not have the "typewriter tic" so I can live with this noise.......Got told my file wouldn't up-load to the forum server as it was too big to process. It's only about 30 seconds but .....

I wouldn’t take my car to the dealer for that, sounds like a normal healthy coyote, could be the direct injection (they make audible on off clicks) , could be the D/I pump, lil bit of chain talk..

but again that sounds like a coyote warming up and getting ready to make 500HP for 200K miles or more.

Research buyback laws in your state before you head down that road. Here in Texas, you get sale price less depreciation for mileage. In many cases, that leaves you upside down to where you can't afford it. If you are in a positive equity position, it might work. Years ago at Cadillac, we had a customer that was offered a buyback, she'd financed $7K worth of upside down from a trade when she bought and put 20K miles on it. The zone rep told me she would have had to stroke a check for a little over $3K to get her "buyback"
It oes sound like somenting that I would not be worried about, but we all have different thresholds for this kind of stuff. My standard for noises is if its been there and has nopt changed in volume or intensity, don't worry about it til it does.

Honestly, I’m a little concerned about a vehicle that doesn’t have some tell tale odd noise. If this noise only on startup and goes away, I’d report it, get it looked at and monitor for it getting worse.
Obviously if it gets worse or changes conditions under which you hear it, then report back to get it looked at again. But cold operation on the modern vehicles is different than the post warm up and it definitely sounds different. It’s not like this didn’t happen in the good ol’ days.

Remember you car sounding different on the choke? Please tell me you know what the choke was... Remember when it was REALLY cold outside and you tried to take off the choke to drive because you had to get to work and your new-ish car would spit and sputter down the road barely able to hold idle until it warmed up? Ok these weren’t new for me but I did have some, anyway I think @SSuperDave nailed it.

Yeah well I took it in , they looked at it and they’ve had it 26 days. They know it’s not normal or else they’d give it back to me and say that it I was . They are well known for that … Got them on Ford Hotline with engineers …

Made first noise Oct21st after 7500 miles of non presence, it needs to be fixed. I’m just posting to see if anyone else had this and resolution anecdote.

My 301a 6 speed gt does this as well. The modern 5.0 tends to be a noisy motor. I don’t worry about it and enjoy the car. Crazy to think your car has been at the dealer so long. Good luck.
