Yeah Tysla and Morning Lily only left very recently and if it isnt on one of those then I dont see how that 7 Nov ETA will be achieved. Not sure if that ETA is to port or to dealer but irrespective it wont be at port or dealer by 7 Nov if it isnt on one of those two vessels that already left.
Hopefully its just a delay between the car ending up on a ship, and Vista being updated.

I'll try and get another update next week somewhere and see.
Well, my last Vista screenshot didnt have a vessel name yet, but this morning I got an email from Ford saying that my car has shipped. Its going to be interesting to see what vessel its on when I get another update tomorrow or Friday. This would probably prove that Vista is lagging behind as well with updates some time.

Finally yours is on it's way. Congrats bfets.
Received an email from Ford today stating my car had been built and left Flat Rock for Baltimore where it will board the next available ship.
I hope it's not waiting there as long as your did.
Finally some movement for you and me.

Thanks mate! Its a roller-coaster of emotions ordering a Mustang. Hopefully we all get there in the end. I cant wait. Hopefully yours will follow soon. I think there are two more ships scheduled to leave at the end of September. Yours might be on one of those.

I just got the same email. Last week Vista didn't have a vessel and had a mid-Nov ETA so hopefully this means a slightly earlier delivery.

Nice! Hopefully our cars are on the same ship. I'll report here tomorrow when I have a vessel name. I'm due a Vista screenshot tomorrow.

My guess your car is on TYSLA which has left Baltimore on 30/08/24 on on its way to Zeebrugge (Belgium)

Hey guys,

So here is my story.... I used to have a 2016 Mustang (the first ones that came to Australia) in Ruby Red. Drove around Sydney and only sold it in December 2022. Regret kicked in 1 week later and I went to the dealer in Parramatta where I got my first one. Ordered the GT and was told June 2023. I have now been waiting +20 months (and counting). I finally got an email from Ford Australia on Wednesday 11th Sept, that the the mustang is on a ship headed to Australia. No name of the ship on the email, excerpt below:
==========================
"We’re pleased to say that you’re now one step closer to being behind the wheel of your new Ford Mustang.

Your Ford Mustang is on a ship and is headed to Australia.

From the Baltimore Port, your Mustang will now travel south towards the Caribbean Sea, through the Panama Canal, and across the South Pacific Ocean to arrive here in Australia.
From there, it will then need to pass through Customs and be shipped to your Dealer. However, due to current local port congestion issues, there may be further transportation delays for your vehicle."
==========================

From what I gather, the only 3 ships on the way from Baltimore at this point are:

- Titania - Reaches Port Kembla 29th Sept
- Morning Lily - Reaches Port Kembla 8th Oct
- Tysla - Reaches Port Kembla 8th Nov.

I do not anticipate the car to be on Titania which left Baltimore on 13th August and the email from Ford was sent on 31st July. Hopefully 2 weeks is enough time for the car to be loaded on the ship. *Keeping my fingers crossed but not holding my breath*.

From the email info above, I believe since the ship is coming through Panama Canal and over the Pacific Ocean, then its not the Tysla since it is crossing the Atlantic Ocean.

My assessment tells me its the Morning Lily and if I am lucky the Titania.

I am hoping it's Titania because I am overseas for 3 weeks from 13th Oct onwards :( and would like to get the car and enjoy it a little before heading out.

Now I have a few questions:

- How do you know which ship the car is on, if its not disclosed in emails from Ford?
- What is this Vista screenshot people keep talking about? What does that show?
- How does one know where there car is? I see some people stating their car was at Baltimore for a number of weeks before it was loaded on to a ship?
- I have the order number and the VIN number, how do I check further, shipping/tracking etc?

Looking forward to seeing you guys on the street of Sydney once we all have our new shiny toy!

Best Regards to all!

Welcome to the forum.

Did you read the first post in this topic?

Ask your dealer!

Vista is the inventory/order management system Ford use.

Ask your dealer for a Vista screen shot.
You will need to give them your NSC number so they can look up your order.
A Vista example can be found in this recent post.
(The Forum's search functionality is very good, and your friend.)

Getting email updates from Ford can be hit and miss.
Despite filling out the Lets Keep In Touch form, I never received any emails along the journey.
Perhaps dealer forgot to submit the information, or the system is just outright flakey.

As always, best to speak to your dealer.

Thank you so much for that, 5.0ALM. I read the tracking part but my Ford dealer did not know much so I have been at a loss there.

Looks like there was an easier way to just ask for a Vista screenshot to avoid the confusion.

Email shot to the dealer now. Will post if anything interesting comes up.

Welcome Stang44. The only way to know for sure what ship your car is on, is to ask the dealer. That information will be in Vista, the internal Ford system, which you dont have direct access to. Most of us just ask for a screenshot of the order (by NSC number) and then see the details for ourselves.
Also, that email from Ford is just a generic template they use. Its not 100% accurate all the time. I got the exact same email stating my car will be passing through the Panama Canal, but Vista showed my car is on the Tysla which is heading across the Pacific like you mentioned.

For those expecting a RORO into Brisbane, and when it gets close to the arrival date, you can see the actual arrival and departure window using the Maritime Safety Queensland website.

From the landing page, select Ship Movements:

MSQ1.png

By default, ALL traffic is sorted chronological, ascending:

MSQ2.png

At this point you can enter a specific vessel name and filter the results, eg; Morning Lisa:

MSQ3.png

It's an eye-opener how much port traffic there is with an unfiltered search, but a descending sort by 'Ship Type' will place Vehicle Carriers towards the top of the list.

Depending on traffic numbers, you may need to show more than 25 to see all vehicle carriers.

MSQ4.png

NSW, VIC and WA may have similar online reporting for you to explore.

Hey All, new to the site. Also hanging for mine to arrive into Brissy. Arriving on the Morning Lily EF414. ETA 5/10 (Rapid Red GT Manual)

There are a couple of other sites you can track the vessel's live- Ship & Container Tracking - VesselFinder some of the vessels don't always show live position.

WW Vessels don't dock in Adelaide at all. Only the 4 big ports - Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne & Fremantle. they did try Adelaide for a stint, but there wasn't enough volume to justify the calls.

for actual berthing at the ports you can use AAT's website for vessel berth spots for Brisbane & Port Kembla- AAT Documents – AAT (aaterminals.com.au)
