5. Catless headers will result in a huge increase in sound. If you already have some kind of straight-through muffler, the vehicle will be incredibly loud. Catted will still be louder than stock.

I’ve been digging to see if the Kooks green catted throw CEL. Some say yes. Some say no. Some say it did but they fixed it.

Seems like it’s depending on the quality of the car build from factory and not so much a straight yes or no answer.

From the outside perspective of someone who has kooks longtubes, occasionally gets a check engine light, and then clears it.

its seriously no big deal, why are you so overly concerned if you get a light in the dash.
Hell people have gotten false check engine lights stock and just need to clear it.

HOW are you clearing it? A scanner into the OBD II port or something?

I'm concerned because where I live it can result in roadside fines.

You are driving along, minding your own business, no front plate (THIS IS A requirement in Ontario) and doing the speed limit but your car is a bit louder and looks nice. The cop has had a terrible day, his wife is sleeping with his partner, he didn't get 75000 hours of overtime last year, whatever, so he decides to pull you over. Leans in and says "Licenses and..... is that a warning indicator? Is your car stock? Think we're going to have to call the inspector to do a roadside review"....

And it goes from there.

You’re creating an imaginary scenario… you could just as easily get pulled over by a tall blonde sexy lady cop that decides to have her way with you in the back seat.

My scenario is probably even more likely to happen.

also I’ve cleared it with an old accessport (married to a focus st) and the new tomahawk.

Check yo DMs lol I spent the morning loading up my Lethal cart.

Just waiting to get that forum code (if you guys have one) as well as confirming how to clear the CEL if it occurs. Jake's DH got it from the Kooks LTH w/ GREEN high flow and another channel did too.

THe other channel said they found a way to clear it so am waiting to get that good news and then pull the trigger. Assuming ya'll ship to Canada :)
I had some problems getting my Whipple for LP but I finally was able to get it through a third party vender in Canada. They are the best high performance site out there. My case was strange the site let me order but would not take my money talked to LP but we could not figure out why. We just figured there was a glitch somewhere in the system. So I hope you have better luck. They are great and will work with you to build your car.

The experience has been great so far. I've got a cart FULL of stuff; he's gonna put a quote together to ship to me (whether one box or many) and we'll go from there.

As for the taking the money; maybe it's cause we are Canadian?!?!?! LOL

Ontario canada ? I hate to burst your bubble if so but we still require a front plate hence receiving two plates from the MTO

/me points to the (requirement in Ontario) portion of the message.

I'll clarify it by adding "THIS IS A" in front.

I'm pretty sure you need a front plate in all of the provinces and territory's you do in BC.
