Or, if you're speaking of replacing the factory sub and upgrading to the pioneer, this is all that I bought to complete my build

Pioneer TS-A250D4 10" Dual 4 ohms Voice Coil Subwoofer, Black https://a.co/d/5Y6GhOa

Fairfield The Original Poly-Fil, Premium Polyester Fiber Fill, Soft Pillow Stuffing, Stuffing for Stuffed Animals, Toys, Cloud Decorations, and More, Machine-Washable Poly-Fil Fiber Fill, 12-ounce Bag https://a.co/d/5MhdpEJ

RED WOLF Door Speaker Wiring Harness Adapter 2 PCS Replacement for 2002-2019 Jeep Wrangler JK, Chrysler, Dodge Vehicles Install Aftermarket Front Rear Door Speaker Wire Cable Plug Connector https://a.co/d/4vchSrh

I followed the replacement sub topic on the mustang 6g website
Nice... Exactly what I'm looking for. Did you just need 1 of the wiring harness, it connected to the OEM sub cable and then hook up to one side of the terminals of the speaker?

You'll need both, with it being a 4 ohm sub, 4 wires.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/b-o-10-sub-replacement-guide.148813/

Tons of info, videos and step by step instructions.

This gives you tight and controlled bass. If you're looking for ground shaking, teeth rattling bass, this is not the solution. I'm very happy with it.

Guys - I wrote this post seeking help retrofiting a 2024 OEM subwoofer into 2024 premium ecoboost convertible. Could we please keep the post focused on accomplishing this goal? There are plenty of other posts focused on adding an aftermarket sub to the 2024.

Having said that, does anybody have new information on getting the OEM sub to work?

Thanks - Tim

Has anybody else tried this yet? Any suggestion on who I could contact at Ford to get tips on how to proceed? Any other suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated!

hi Tim um saw your post and I think it’s an option that needs to be turned on in FDRS at the dealership as I think I saw it when I was updating mine at work but I’m not toooooo sure I will need to check the next time I hook mine back up.

So, some good news and some bad news on my progress:

The bad news is that the techs at my local dealership (Sil-Terhar Ford in Broomfield, CO) could not get the subwoofer working. I've been going to Sil-Terhar for almost 15 years for service and I trust their mechanics. As such, I'm confident there's no "easy" solution.

The good/bad news is that I decided that if I can't make the subwoofer work, I'll trade in this car for one with a subwoofer from the factory. I pick up my new-new car later today.

All-up, I'm losing around $10k on a mustang that I drove for 9 months. I loved the car, but it wasn't what was sold to me. The seller, Barbee's Freeway Ford wasn't interested in helping resolve the issue. For the record, Barbee's also told me the car had a spare tire which it didn't.

I've been working with the "Ford Motor Company" user account (here on mustang7g) on this debacle since early July. I'm hoping they can somehow help me out somehow with making things right.

In the interim, mad props to Kaid and everyone at Sil-Terhar Ford in Broomfield, CO for jumping through many hoops to find me a grabber blue convertible with 201a. While I was already losing money I had them find a car that also has the performance package too (since you can't get it in the 2025 EcoBoost). They found the car, sold it to me at reasonable price, had it shipped across the country, and generally did a great job helping me out.

So it might still be possible to add a subwoofer, but it's way out of my scope and not something as simple as "turning it on" in the ECU. Good luck to anybody who continues this pursuit. Please keep us posted if you do!

So you willingly lost $10,000 over a sub-woofer?

Can't hide money.

Personally, if my normal dealership had incompetent techs, I would have taken it to a different dealership before I spent $10K over a sub-woofer.

I'm willing to spend $10k to get the car I want and to not lay in bed at night pissed that I got ripped off. Im looking at it like I leased the car for 10 months (for a shitty price). I was planning on trading the car in next spring for a 2025 ecoboost with 201a and the performance package anyway. Ford discontinued the performance package on the ecoboost in 2025.

No reason to throw shade, dude. My mechanics are good at what they do.

I'm hoping someone figures the subwoofer stuff out.

For the record, I also test drove a 2024 GT California with every option available. The EcoBooost is quicker at 5300k feet altitude. I was also getting 24mpg.

Just 1 question; When you bought that Ecoboost did you take the EcoBoost® Premium High (201A) Equipment Group. with this package you get a subwoofer in the trunk.

The reason I am asking is that I ordered 1 ecoboost premium with this package 201A high premium and the 2.3 high perfomance package. And it says in the description that there is sub in the trunk.

I hope there's no mistake here otherwise I will be a little upset.

I ordered it on 2/20 and it will be build on 08/05, so I am pretty close to get it and at this point there is no turning back or changing anything in the order for that matter.

Thank you.

The first car was "just" a Premium without the 201A package. My sales person thought it had a sub and it didn't. I wasn't smart enough to open the trunk and look before buying.

The new car is a premium with the 201A package. According to Ford, EcoBoost® Premium High (201A) Equipment Group includes a subwoofer. Just to be sure, I didn't agree to buy the new car until I saw a photo of the subwoofer in the back.

You should be good to go.

You don't have to spend $10,000 to get a working sub-woofer.

No reason to throw shade, dude. My mechanics are good at what they do.
Not throwing shade ... just speaking the truth. If they can't get a simple sub-woofer working, then they are either NOT 'good at what they do' or your standards are too low.

Again, if my issue was a sub-woofer, I would have taken it to another dealership. Better yet, I would have taken it to an actual car stereo place, spent $5K having an ACTUAL sound system installed, and pocketed the other $5K.

Back in 1985, I had two dollars short of $2,000 worth of Kenwood installed in my '84 Z28. Heck, even the two 4" cone speakers in the dash had their own amplifier. It was 1000x times better than any OEM sound system.

I picked up the new car yesterday. Other than a tiny 4mm scratch on the front passenger "nose" fascia where it meets the hood (which my dealer is going to have professionally repaired) the car is perfect and a huge upgrade. They ordered a front license plate bracket for the car as CO requires front AND rear plates. I spend a lot of time on the interstate and the CO highway patrol will ticket you for this. I'm going to leave a 12 pack of beer for whoever installs the license plate bracket and another for the paint guy.

Premium vs 201A -

There's no comparison between the regular "premium" 9 speaker stereo and the 201A stereo. The improvement in the sound quality, volume, "power" and lack of rattles is significant. This is a bit of an exaggeration, but the only analogy I could come up with is going from tapes to CDs and just a head unit to and a stand alone amp. Everything is cleaner, crisper, I can feel it in my chest, and just sounds better.

The adaptive cruise control is pretty slick. It's very intuitive and easy to use. My wife has this on her Subaru and it's another reason I was excited about the upgrade.

I'm not a big fan of the Nav system so far. That's what Android Auto is for. Even if you don't have Nav selected, it still shows (what it thinks is) the current speed limit, which has been wrong on several local roads.

Maybe it's in my head, but it feels like the seat is more comfortable and can be adjusted to sit much lower in the 201A car. The seat also has memory which is nice because my wife will occasionally drive the car. Not that it matters, but the seatbelt has a silver "accent" in the 201A which I don't really care for. The seats are much softer and less sticky than the regular premiums. The different color stitching and trim in the 201A car looks nice.

There are several more configuration options in the 201A dashboard. I haven't dug fully into it yet, but it lists memory settings/screens that weren't in the other car.

For anybody buying the Premium package, I would recommend having the detailers leave the factory protection on the console and put a screen protector on as soon as you take off the factory protection. I used the Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector [GlasTR Slim] designed for Ford Mustang (2024) 13.2 inch Dashboard Touchscreen - Crystal Clear off Amazon. It only covers the actual touch screen part of the console which is fine by me. I think it still looks good. Note that after almost 10 months in the original car (premium), there were permanent scratches/fingerprints coinciding with the seat heater/cooler buttons on the touch screen and a couple other areas that were touched often. I never used anything but clean dry microfiber clothes to wipe down the screen and it was still lightly scratched. If you don't put on a screen saver, be sure to spray down the screen with glass cleaner before wiping it down.

No regrets.

As for as the performance package, it makes a huge difference. Particularly in accelerating from a dead stop and braking. It definitely pulls harder at lower RPMs. I haven't really flogged it yet, but they're both noticeably improved. I was a little worried the ride would be rougher, but I can't tell a difference. The Brembo brakes and 19" black BBS RK-ish wheels look awesome. The car looks much more aggressive. The "drift brake" is pretty neat but I doubt I'll be doing any drifting. I sort of liked the spoiler on the regular premium so the complete spoiler delete is going to take some getting used to. Since I intend to drive this car year round, I ditched the Z rated tires for Pirelli P Zero AS 4s. I'll flip the brand new tires on Craigslist.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the performance package came with paddle shifters and an "M" option on the drive selector. I'd read a couple places where this was only available on the GTs. I doubt I'll use it a lot, but it will be helpful in the CO mountains going down miles long mountain roads.

I attached a few pictures of the new car. If anybody is interested, I'll provide more updates after driving the car for a few weeks.
