Pre-Collision Assist Not Available Warning

Same thing is happening to me, pretty much every time I remote start the car. Anyone find a solution ?

still happens to me just here and there, not sure if it’s because you could have something in front of you when you turn it on, but what makes it go away is just get inside and turn the car off, turn it back on then the pre collision not available will be gone.

yeah that’s what I usually do, but it’s just annoying to have to do that every time and just seems like a flaw/defect in the design.

have you talked to your dealership about it?

I did ask my salesman but he said it happens on his F150 too, but I did call service department and seems like they don’t know unfortunately lol I may set an appointment to get it looked at. I looked at the older 6G forums to see if it happened there if it was equipped but I don’t believe I saw any solutions.

Hi all,
It happened to me a few days ago. Was parked at a shopping parking lot, (the car in front was very close), started the car from inside as always, and a string of messages started appearing on the dashboard, repeating when i clicked ok.
I drove for a few meters, stopped, turn off and started again. No sign of the issues, the car started correctly...
I've had the car for only 2 weeks, hoping it was just the proximity to the car in front that was blocking something and the sensors went crazy....
Adding @Ford Motor Company, any comments?

I just read this thread and, curiously, something similar happened this morning. I remote started, yes, but my car was pointed towards the street, not the garage. The pre-collision alert light flashed, then a message popped up saying the camera view was distorted. I had just used the windshield washer/wiper, so I figured it may have been a drop of water on the lens. It eventually went away, but I did check prior and there was nothing on the windshield.

It also comes on when someone rudely cuts in front of me. This is a glaring flaw in the sysm, an update is needed so the little light will go annoy the offender, not me.

Same issues but it’s intermittent. Car drives fine but the warning lights are annoying.

Thanks! I appreciate your response, but as of now, this happened only once. Maybe something was blocking the sensors...if it happens again, I will ask for help.

Quick question...after the "Pre-collision assist not available" warnings are gone...are the sensors working?
This warning happened to me only once, but after that, my car is suspiciously silent...i had a few close calls with cars in front, and no alert came up! the setting is set to High, but still, no warning whatsoever....I understand that this is a bit difficult to test...but worrying that no alert are showing at all.....

I haven't ever had a warning like I used to get on my 2019 Mustang and on my wife's 2019 Lincoln.

Today it was snowing hard. After several miles in a quick blizzard got the "pre collision not available" warning. But I wasn't surprised because every car I have had with the system gets that in snow storms as the snow and ice build up on the sensors. No idea if there is any way to "fix" that issue.

Today, I got the same Errors again. A car stopped close in front, and the RED Pre-collision blinking warning light up...right after that, the errors in orange started to pop up, one after the other , while I was driving:
"Front Camera Fault Service required"
"Pre-Collision Assist not available"
"Blind Spot system fault"

I cleared them, and everything was working again, like nothing happened.
Visibility was fine, there was no reason for the sensors being blocked....
I'm already at 1200miles, I'm going to leave the car at the dealer for an Oil Change and to check the Pre Collision system , as something is not right...

I chuckled at the irony as well.

I just got this warning today after remote start, 2024 Ecoboost with 400 miles, nothing in front of the vehicle, turned it off and it went away.

Another lol at the song title.
