those dual cold air intakes work wonders. on my way home, intake temps were 1 degree above ambient. still have yet to remove the hydrocarbon filter

today i went through an intersection that had a bit of a jump in it and now my car feels kinda different. before, i could feel the floor pan shaking basically all the time, the exhaust was loud-ish inside, i could hear noise from the transmission, and now all of that is gone. no clue what actually happened, but i kind of liked it before, it felt like i was driving a race car

not a bad idea, so i put it on my dad's lift. everything seems perfectly fine, my dad mentioned that there might have just been something binding up and that loosened it. my dad knows that intersection i mentioned well, as he used to have an '03 Mercury Murauder and a long time ago got air there; breaking a spring when he landed

i was messing around with my VCM Lite and found something in the PCM, an attribute called MAX_SPEED_LIMIT set at 154.72mph. that's about 249kmh, which in hex value is F9, and the as-built data has four instances of "F9" in the PCM area. sadly, i tried to connect ForScan, but it doesn't work with 2024 Mustangs yet

It will be interesting to see if that value changes once your done with break-in. Ford stated a max speed of 168 miles per hour so maybe your being limited during break-in.

it's possible, Chevrolet did that with the C8 where from 0 to 499.9 miles your redline is 6500rpm, but once you hit 500 it goes up to 8500rpm (it even has a quick little animation!)

just found out that only auto dark horses have a transmission temp gauge in the gauges. that's not very cool, i bet the manual owners would want to know that too

Its not a big deal with a manual transmission. Most of the heat is generated in the torque converter and you don't have one of those on a manual. Earliest cars I know about personally date to 1957 and the transmission had lines running to the radiator for cooling the auto transmission.
