In the case of a 2024 Mustang GT, Would an oil & filter change via "Ford Mobile Service" include removing the appropriate under carriage (under body plastic) covering to allow "proper" access to the drain plug and oil filter?

Yes it is impossible to get to the oil filter without taking off the 17 or so screws. I did my oil change the other week.

Justs so Ford Corporate answers my question. Otherwise it will be take the car to the dealer. I do not have the facilities to do it myself. Even the video showed that removing the filter was potentially messy.

I saw that along with some other "Coupons" available from Ford. One of the "coupons" is for "The Works." The coupon says nothing about the cost for "The Works" and nothing about the discount that the "Coupon" offers. I have reached out to two Ford Dealers and the replies have been "I don't Know."

Just what I want, to have the back lot shag boy pickup my manual GT Mustang and go for joyride with his buddies before or after having it serviced, hahaha

And the service person who picks the car up is going to take it for a nice spirited drive - both before and after the oil change. I do not want my pony to be doing 100mph+ surface streets by some unknown dude who would prolly also fart on my seat due to all the rice and beans

My ford dealership won’t do this because I’m 1/2 mile out the authorize zone ..crap ..after spending $60k lol

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking. Uh, no I will continue to take it to the dealership on my own thank you, and take good notes on the odometer reading when I leave it.

No thanks! I don't even like the dealership driving it from the lot into the service area

The answer is, "Yes." Ford Mobile technicians are capable of removing the belly pan.

My '22 had a minor Body Control Module recall. I was able to schedule mobile service for the software patch. I chatted with the tech while he was completing his task.

The mobile vans are standardized to all dealerships. In the back of the transit van, there are tools, common parts (often loaded at the start of the day, linked with the repair schedule), fresh oil and waste oil tanks, jacks, stands, air compressor, etc.

I asked about oil changes. Oil recovery can be accomplished by two methods: 1) vacuum sucking via the dipstick tube and 2) traditional (underneath). It mainly depends on the weather as to which method they'll use.

The tech was familiar with Mustangs and the belly pan. Several Ford models use them now, none of which have a trap door or access port. It's becoming more common on Fords to remove the entire pan. Yes, Mobile techs can and will pull it to access the filter.

All parts are Ford/Motorcraft. Fresh oil is fed from the truck via a hose. Waste oil is dumped into an internal tank in the back of the van.
