MUSTANG UNLEASHED IS NEW NATIONWIDE TOUR FOR CURRENT, FUTURE FANS

MAR 25, 2024 | DEARBORN

S650 Mustang "Mustang Unleashed" national demo tour announced to celebrate Mustang's 60th Birthday. Registration now open Mustang Unleashed Render 0

DEARBORN, Mich., March 25, 2024 – Hot laps, line lock demos, and vehicle walkarounds await Ford Mustang fans across America as part of the new Mustang Unleashed tour.

The 12-stop tour with a festival-like atmosphere starts next month in conjunction with the 60th anniversary of Mustang. It includes appearances at major events like Formula Drift in Long Beach, California, and ComplexCon in Las Vegas.

“For six decades, Mustang has been associated with freedom, road trips, and its place in American history,” said Mustang Brand Manager Joe Bellino. “But as Mustang kicks off its next 60 years, it needs to be more accessible. Mustang Unleashed will show customers what makes Mustang great, rather than merely telling them. And by pairing with events and festivals across the country, it will bring Mustang to new customers and grow one of the auto industry’s most passionate fan bases.”

Owners can learn about opportunities to customize Mustang to fit their personalities via the Mustang Garage. Select events will also put fans and owners in the passenger’s seat to experience Mustang’s advanced performance technology with hot laps from professional drivers and demonstrations of the standard line lock system. Static walkarounds will also feature the industry-first Remote Rev system. Mustang merchandise will also be available for purchase.

The tour starts April 12 and registration opens today for 2024 Mustang owners. Registration for the public is available at the events. Mustang Unleashed will visit six cities to start, with six additional cities to be announced later this year:
  • April 12-13: Formula Drift, Long Beach, California
  • April 21: Fabulous Fords, Irwindale, California
  • April 26-28: Psych Fest, Austin, Texas
  • May 10-11: Formula Drift, Braselton, Georgia
  • May 17-19: HyperFest, Alton, Virginia
  • June 7-9: Backwoods, Ozark, Arkansas
Not all activities will be available at all events, and activities and dates are subject to change. For more information on Mustang Unleashed and to register for events, click here.

This is awesome! Just registered for the Atlanta event. Hope to see some of the locals there!

Can someone confirm...do we get free entry tickets or is this just for the track event?

Just registered for Road Atlanta! Would like to do the Track Attack at Charlotte Motor Speedway but I am not willing to shell out $6500 if their car blows a tire and I hits the wall. I raced professionally for 15 years, and stuff happens. How does that saying go? Been there dun that got a case of T Shirts.

that's highway robbery.
This is what they do when you get to checkout.

Fine Print:

There is an option to purchase a property damage waiver option to limit financial responsibility for damage done to the FPRS Dark Horse used in the Ford Performance Racing School program.

Without the limited liability, the student assumes full financial responsibility up to full replacement value of the vehicle for any and all damage they do to the vehicle.

This option can be purchased during registration on this website or prior to attending or at check-in upon arrival at Ford Performance Racing School.

If you have personal liability insurance - it covers it all!

I contacted my State Farm agent about your post and his reply to me through email "Be sure and purchase their Insurance."
I meant a personal liability insurance outside of auto insurance.
usually employers have that as a benefit pre-tax.

Just so others watching this thread are aware the insurance issue is for the track attack, not for the Mustang Unleashed event.

Personally I think it's great that Ford is still sponsoring events like this. Looking at the other blogs, Dodge, GM Camaro and so forth, the dedicated fans are very upset and many are claiming they will move to the Mustang simply because Ford is still supporting it. EVs might be the future but the future has not arrived yet.

I am very excited about the event myself and all I was saying about the Track attack was I was disappointed regarding the insurance. There is coverage available for Track Days if I took my Dark Horse for under $400. Me and my wife did the Explorer ST challenge and really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

Track Attack is an amazing experience. Did it for the GT500, wish I could’ve for the GT350. I’m sure the Dark Horse will be a helluva time too.

That’s it? Another event? This is the big 60th anniversary deal we’ve been waiting for?

please have more in the pipe. Idk, something related to an actual car you can buy?

heck, a 60th anniversary FP tune package would be great.
