I spend 2 hours at my dealer to conclude my 2025 GT needs the wiper motor replacement. Now they order the part, notify me it's in, and schedule an appointment to replace. Just what did I wait 2 weeks to schedule for? I thought this is the time the dealer needed to get the part. Be advised Ford doesn't replace these motors automatically. The dealer verifies your car needs a new wiper motor, and they go from there. What a colossal waste of time just so Ford doesn't have to spend money shipping motors to prepare for the Recall.

Not every car in the recall needs the motor replaced. You waited 2 hours for them to complete the diagnostic procedure to confirm whether your car passed or failed. If a car passes, you're done. If a car fails, they order the new motor and you bring it back for replacement. I've been in touch with several dealers now in the SF Bay Area and they're still reporting the ETA on a fix is early 2027. But again, they're not replacing the wiper motor in every single car... just the ones that fail the test.

Much like many recalls... they have to check thousands of cars, but only a handful of them actually have the issue.

Does anyone know what the test procedure is?

My question now is that I took delivery of a new GT Friday from dealer stock that is part of the recall and was told it was completed. But the NHTSA and Ford recall site are reporting it hasn't been completed. Hmmmmmmmmm
