Who's trying to race you?

This is funny. I've never had anyone try to race me. I was in Charlotte this weekend for Mustang Unleashed, and someone there asked me if anyone ever tried to race with me, and said there were always people trying to race them in their Eco (somewhere in N. Alabama area).

Is it because I'm female, and they don't think there's any point or something? Rude!

It’s an interesting phenomenon. Never owned a Mustang but now I do. People rev at me for no reason and a guy on a sport bike gave me the middle finger pulling out of Home Depot. Maybe some spirited junk-talking, but usually any cat I’ve had tastefully done has gotten a thumbs up.

I’ve come to the conclusion that performance cars can sometimes illicit strong emotional reactions (both positive and negative) from people. Recently, my wife drove our GT to Target. It has fairly dark tinted windows…as she was passing a group of people, a young gal with green hair was making a “jerk off” hand gesture towards her. She stopped and rolled down her window and said “I’m sorry honey, I’m not equipped to help you with that fantasy”.

I live in SoCal. Mostly are Infiniti G series with insanely loud exhaust, sometimes with flames as well. They would rev it beside me but when I rolled down the window and tried to signal to race, either they pretend not noticing me or just shaking their heads and nope.

I have to admit that the Rears on these S650’s are Sharp as Hell!!
