Hi,
I want to buy a Mustang GT. But there’s been a big string of recalls this year. Can I assume that ordering a car in 2026, Ford will have addressed all those issues at the factory and those current recall problems will be resolved? Any insides appreciated.

I think you must be considering each thread as a separate recall! 🙃😉😊

Actually there have been a few over the years, but has not been a big deal for me. I had a 2022 Ecoboost Premium convertible. 48k miles of fun and enjoyment and NO RECALLS. Great car. Replaced it with a 2025 GT Premium convertible. 12k miles in 6 months. Fun, fun, fun! It did have the recall for the possible water intrusion to the BCM. Recall work took about 5 hours. They confirmed water had not leaked into the BCM area and did additional sealing under the cowl under the windshield. No other issues with a car that I really enjoy.

I think you are safe in assuming that Ford has corrected currently known issues on the Mustangs being produced, but no one can guarantee that every car is perfect and will not have an issue or recall for something in the future.

So, my advice is if you want a great fun car that will make you feel good and smile, then get it! If you are looking for an excuse to not buy one, you can always find some reason, especially somewhere on the web, including forums such as this.

Hi Slip

I wouldn't let any recall put you off.
Mine went in for the 24C35 IPC fix earlier this year, which was a firmware update.

Some of these recalls relevant to Australia often only involve a very small batch of cars, so you'd just be unlucky to score more than one, if any.

Since I took delivery of my MY24.5 GT 12 months ago, it's gone up $9,000 for the same spec.
I can only imagine with Labor's idiot NVES, f-wit Blackout Bowen will be rubbing his hands together as the MY26 vehicles will probably get even more expensive.

Of course, reducing our 1% of global emissions is going to make f-all difference.
Well done Greenies.
Meanwhile China is bringing on-line, on average, two new coal-fired power stations each week.
I digress, don't get me started.
Oh wait.

The sooner you get into a Mustang, the sooner you'll be enjoying it.
Just do it.

Thanks for that. Good advice. I will start looking next year when the 2026 cars get here. Cheers

Appreciate the advice. I have not owned a big V8 car. I will start looking next year.
