Wheel torque for 19" Velgen VF5's?

The Ford specification for the wheels are 150 #, Velgen uses a smaller outside diameter on their lugs. I torqued to 120 # but I don't think 150 would be a good outcome. What are those who have this set up doing?

150lbs torque here on both sets. I change out between the two sets twice a year and no problem in the past 3 years.

I bought my first set of wheels from LMR as a kit. I got my second set directly from Velgen.

The LMR site lists this:
Wheel Torque Specs

• 2015-2023 = 150 lb/ft

On your Velgen wheel do they have the smaller OD lug nut 6 spline? I have no concern torquing to 150# on a standard size lug nut but the smaller OD lug was my concern

Ordered some Gorilla splined lug nuts from Steeda earlier this week. Sales person I spoke with at Steeda told me that the Gorilla lug nuts would meet the 150# torque specifications from ford. I emailed Gorilla to verify, their response today was 120 max!
Steeda may want to communicate with Gorilla on this.

That’s an interesting response. Who knows, the sales person may be wrong. If you were to do it off somewhere like Discount Tire, chances are they are going to tongue to 150lbs.

The Gorilla lug nuts that I purchased from Steeda are WAY beefier than what I got with the Velgen wheels, both are the narrow 6 spline. I spoke to the vender that sold me the wheels (they also install) They too said 120 - 125 max.
