Just got back from trying to help a family member purchase an Ecoboost Mustang. The PP With 3.55 axle is no longer available. I really don't think the 3.15 is not going to do it for spirited around town driving. I know, go with the 5.0. Driver wants a 4 cylinder for mileage. Too bad a 3.55, even without the PP is not available.

If you want a PP Ecoboost, wait for the RTR variant later this year. It's evidently replacing the PP.

Don't kid yourself! The Eco-Boost with the 10R80 and 3:15 gears is the best combination in my opinion. On the street, lousy Continental tires, and some of the worst roads in the country, I can rip off 0 to 60s in 4.7 seconds. I can better this by a couple of tenths atop the glued surface at the local strip.

I know its not ideal, but you could add some of the PP features to a regular EB. Thats what I'm in the process of doing. So far I've got the GT PP wheels and paddle shifters installed. Next project is a 3.55 Torsen rear diff.

I found one at a local place and am cleaning it up, putting new axle seals in it prior to installing. You could buy a whole 3.55 LSD rear diff from Ford Perf. though for approx. $1,300 I believe if you didn't want to go used.

My wife has a 24 EcoBoom Premium -PP 3.55, and the thing has great power. The one who wants the Ecoboost is also debating on an Edge or Mach-E. A regular Ecoboost may work though. She doesn't want a bunch of racing options. But at least a 3.55 would be nice. They should have 3.31 stock. There must be a reason they're no longer available with a 6 Speed. I think it may be from people down shifting at high RPMs. I heard from a guy who told me his went đź’Ą boom at a high RPM downshift.
