I ended up with a resolution and will end up keeping the wheels. They came back and apologized for the issue and offered 150 as a partial refund. I decided its not worth messing with anymore and accepted the offer.
I talked to a few shops local to me and color matching these is going to be...
I checked around local powdercoating places and it seems like I'm looking at approx 200 dollars a wheel for just the coating. That wouldnt include the cost to actually repair any damage or dismount and mount the TPMS sensors and tires plus balancing. I don't have an exact quote but am waiting...
The wheels I ordered from them cost 325 to ship from NV to GA. My worry since this whole thing started was that I would have to eat the shipping cost both ways which is why I was trying to get them to pay for the repairs.
They sent me a name of a local company who I contacted to see if they...
Yeah I'm not sure what to do from this point going forward. I tried to get them to cover the repair from a local shop and they refused. I even sent them screenshots today from the mobile wheel repair guy they sent me. I asked them to cover return shipping and they woudn't answer. They just...
Also they were packed like the ones shown by @AZ_Ryan. The cardboard was only on the top of the rim and did have a tear on top so Idk where the damage occurred but I guess its possible it happened during shipping.
They were actually take-offs sold as new (other) with less than 100 miles. No damage was listed on the ad. Unfortunatly its turned into a whole thing with us going back and forth on Ebay.
I tried to leave negative feedback and escalate the issue with Ebay but that has not helped the situation...
Have you had any luck with Ebay support getting the seller to cover shipping back? I contacted Shelby and they wouldnt agree to cover it, hence why I was looking at the option of having the wheels repaired locally.
Finding thats not as easy as it sounds. Local wheel repair guy says he coudnt...
I admit I'm pretty picky with my car but try to be reasonable. The seller in question is Shelby American so I would think they are a pretty decent size seller. They said they don't have any more of these wheels though.
I tried to work with them to find a local shop and they cover the cost of...
I'm hoping some of our forum members can help me with an issue thats cropped up. I ordered some wheels online from a seller on EBay and they ended up arriving damaged. Looks like one of the wheels had something dropped on it. Does the damage in everyones opinion look like something that can...
The last 2 digits are checksum values and are automatically changed by the SW when you disabled the ESE. They are represented on the spreadsheet by dashes. For instance:
xxxx xxxx xx--
Notice the dashes at the end. Those are the checksum values. I also always get the same pop up when making...
I belive @GrabThatBlue already posted the correct address in the previous thread but maybe there is some misunderstanding, so I'll try and help.
Your EcoBoost does for sure play Engine noise over the speakers. You can turn it off though by downloading and purchasing a liscense for the FORSCAN...
I can verify that the EB 'Vert does in fact play engine sound over the speakers. If you search ESE in the FORSCAN spreadsheet it will show you the addresses that need to be changed.
I have the car above (with active exhaust) and tried it. To be honest, I didn't like it, it was too quiet LOL...
It looks like I might have gotten lucky and found a good deal on a set of non-HP Dark Horse wheels. Does anyone know if there are any fitment issues when installing these in a stock EB 'Vert?
Fronts 9.5" (F) 255/40r19
Rears 10" (R) 275/40r19
From what I understand these are the sizes, just...
Do the European Mustangs come with the perimeter plus as standard? I'm in the US and I don't think any of the US cars come with that from the factory. I have the security pkg but the perimeter plus is above and beyond that from what I understand.
My car is a push button start and an auto. I...
Just to make sure I understood correctly, did you have to install the perimeter plus security module on your car prior to getting the remote start to work?
I have a convertible which is supposed to have the security system installed, but I think this module adds to the existing system even on...
Also, just for anyone trying this in the future, I reached out to an independent local locksmith to try and program the remote. He verified its the correct mhz (434) for my car, but he said he's had little luck w/ the amazon fobs. I guess they are very hit or miss. Just my luck I got one that...
Just to put your mind at ease, FORSCAN really isnt that bad. If you take your time and follow the spreadsheet you shouldnt have any issues.
I'd highly recommend it as I found that without the ESE the car was TOO quiet for my taste.
