That's correct. I have the same car as the OP, an EB 'vert, which is why I made the recommendation to try Forscan.

Also, just for anyone trying this in the future, I reached out to an independent local locksmith to try and program the remote. He verified its the correct mhz (434) for my car, but he said he's had little luck w/ the amazon fobs. I guess they are very hit or miss. Just my luck I got one that...

Just to put your mind at ease, FORSCAN really isnt that bad. If you take your time and follow the spreadsheet you shouldnt have any issues. I'd highly recommend it as I found that without the ESE the car was TOO quiet for my taste.
