My fronts were due for replacing anyways so I didnt really care, but the rear has a bubble now so I need 4 new tires.

Im torn between just getting new rubber for the stock wheels and hoping the rim isn't bent any - I dont see any cracks or scrapes but who knows.. I did find a local tire shop thats selling take-offs for $1200 but their Facebook post says they accept foodstamps for payment so I feel like they'd sneak a airtag in the wheels and come steal them later 🤣

Or switching to velgen classic5 v2s with Michelin pilot sport 4s (or all seasons?) Was looking at 275/35/r20 front and 305/r30/r20 rear. I dont know much about wheels and offsets. Spending $5k has me hesitant but I would rather not spend $2k on stock tires then finding out i need to spend more on stock rims

Also I somehow drove the car with no air in the front tire for 12 miles @25mph with the first half not even noticeable that I had a flat. After that there was a slight vibration, I get off work at 5am so thankfully there was only a handful of other cars on the road

What a shame. In the first pic posted the wheel seems to have a little deformity, but that may be reworkable. Sounds like a realignment may be in order as well.

The tyre shop will probably spin up the bare wheel to see if it's running true or out of round.
But new wheels and rubber does sound tempting.
And you can sell the originals as a set if they're OK.

First photo - possible wheel deformity. I was thinking the same at first. Looking again, I believe the bulge in the tire is creating an illusion of a deformed wheel. Diagnosing from a photo will never match an in person perspective.

Dam, sorry about that. Looks like a pretty hard hit. I'd definitely get an alignment. If you like the stock wheels get em checked and you could just get some new bologna skins. Cheers 🍻

Jayzus.

A couple years ago I was driving the wife's Lincoln around San Antonio on I410 near 35. I was lining up to pass a slow mover when -- oops: Construction zone, so I back off, and about 2 or 3 seconds later I crater both driver's side wheels. We were going no faster than 60mph. TPMS says I'm fine but I can feel it vibrating. We get home and the wheel is dented and the outer lip separated. Ugh. about $550 later, she's back in business.
But wait, there's MORE!
The rear wheel developed a crack in the center/barrel. Several months later, she starts losing air in a nearly brand new tire. One Saturday I pull it with the intent of plugging. I have one of those amazon kits and have plugged 2x successfully, with one more that I couldn't get to take because it was right on the outer edge of the tire. I could not find a leak anywhere. I sent her to discount tire on her spare.

The D/T tech found it, told my wife "Your husband will not believe this unless he sees it with his own eyes, the wheel is cracked on the inside. I drew a circle around it and put it in your trunk so he can check it out. You can bring it back and we'll dispose of it". Sure enough, this thing was cracked through and we had to get another wheel.

So make sure you get eyes on the wheels that hit the pothole and there isn't any less obvious damage.

looks like the rear wheel is cracked. I wouldn't trust it, especially on a track.

Well I mean I got a golf ball sized hole in the front tire so it isnt going far lol
wheel looks ok
get it roadforced balanced and mark the rim that hit the pot hole if is much higher than the others replace it

just ask the wheel balancer to make a note of the road force for you and if it seems out of round on the machine
