2025 Shadow Black EcoBoost Nite Pony
Last month I bought my new 2025 Ecoboost Nite Pony in Shadow Black and I've been busy tinkering with it. I have a few other things in mind but now that it is getting cold I won't be doing much until Spring. Here it is as it stands at the moment. Since picking it up, I've had the windows tinted (35%), I installed OEM leather covers on the seats, I installed an Air Design front splitter, and I replaced the rear blade spoiler with a GT spoiler. That's it for the appearance stuff I have planned.

My last Mustang was grey and I kind of always wished it had been black. This time around I decided I wanted black on black. As Nigel Tufnel said, how much more black could this be? None.

I am (impatiently) waiting for Ford Performance to drop the 2025 Ecoboost performance tune. I'd rather go with a factory tune to retain the warranty in case I have an EcoBoom. Once I hit 36,000 miles I will see if I decide to go nuts and throw some more bolt-ons at it. It is already a lot of fun to drive for my daily driver, which is what it is. I have a 1971 Torino with a built 351 Cleveland for when I really want to roast tires and make a lot of noise, but this car is faster. I do think this car could use a little more gear than 3.15 so I am strongly considering 3.55's when weather warms up. My Torino has 4.11's and practically zero traction but it is sure fun.

Tell me about your spoiler. Where did you get it? Did it come pre-painted? Did you do your own installation? Is it aftermarket?
I have a black GT with the blade spoiler and may want to add the GT type spoiler.
Thanks for any info...

I bought the GT spoiler from American Muscle. Fit was not perfect, but I made it work. You have to remove the spoiler deck from the trunk lid. The 3M tape that holds the spoiler lid on is no joke. I think that removing the tape and cleaning off the residue so that I could put on new tape was the longest part of the install, also kind of nerve-wracking pulling the spoiler lid off because it really takes some force but remember it is not metal and it will not bend permanently. Spoiler comes in gloss black.

All in all, I think the install took me 2 hours.

It was an OEM takeoff, like new, from eBay, so it was already painted shadow black and it fits and looks factory. I installed it myself, I just followed installation videos for other spoilers such as RTR to understand the process. The only challenging things about it were getting the original trim tape under the blade spoiler module loose (that stuff holds like CRAZY - adhesive remover would help) and then following some others’ advice to stick a rag inside the trunk lid when you extract the inner nuts in case you drop them. I managed to not drop them but if you do and don’t have something to stop them from falling down inside it would be disastrous. If you want to tackle this, just watch the RTR spoiler installation video because it is practically the same.

Doing an OEM takeoff like this is an easy way to get a paint matched spoiler that will look factory. One thing to note, the new spoiler might not include some mounting clips on it (they may have kept them, mine did) so I had to transfer those from my old spoiler module. If you compare them side by side you’ll see what they are and where they go. All told the swap took about an hour and a half, you just need a couple of sockets and torx bits and trim removal tools. I didn’t use adhesive remover but that would greatly help.

I thought that is now available.

Ford Part #M-9603-M4D

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-M4D
Sadly that’s only for the 2024. Ford Performance apparently said end of this year, early next year for the 2025 version. It’s interesting they are doing it that way considering 3rd party tuners are treating the 24 and 25 the same. Maybe Ford knows something they don’t. I am just hoping it is the same specs and performance improvement as the 24.

Same here. Got mine from AM also. Mine was the high gloss black and was perfect. My install took about 6 hrs. I think 4 hrs was tape removal, and fearing damaging the decklid. You're right, that 3M tape is no joke. The GT Spoiler makes it look more aggressive.

Is there a part number for the GT calibration by Ford or does HP Tuners only have it?
Sadly NOPE at this point and from the sounds of it, there will never be from Ford Performance/Ford Racing!!! What a Bummer tho but you will have to go Aftermarket Tune for any performance upgrades outside of bolt ons!! 😞

Let's see a pic of the Torino!
It’s currently in paint jail waiting on a new paint job but I took this when my kiddo helped me wash it before it went away for a while. I painted it myself when I restored it and it looks fine from a distance but not really good enough up close.
