USA: paint and body inspection for warranty repair

Hello. I am trying to find a post somebody made regarding yearly body and paint inspection... can't find it. I remember reading that it's some policy that Ford doesn't really want to tell people about, so that they would not be blamed for factory defects, etc.

I would like to know:
1. how to get the inspection that can detect rust, corrosion or paint defects?
2. how often do I need to get it?
3. any other hidden clause?

I found some UK resources (linked below), but nothing for the USA.
