My dealer called and was told to quit watching these forums! No truth to this and to just wait. These have nothing to do with Ford Performance.

My dealership is the one who contacted me and told me that they received notification to call and verify my vehicles information, don't know what to say

I also called my dealership today ... be curious to see what they can find out.

At the end of the day, I'm not out anything, but that pic of the Whimbledon White Ragtop with the red caps, sure looks awesometastic!

On a somewhat similar note... I had my Mustang at a car wash and one of the people washing it asked if I had the Certificate of Origin for it..

My 60th Mustang is the first car I have ever owned that wasn't a "run of the mill" Ford ... so, I'm completely clueless on what it is the person was referring to? He mentioned that it's like the car's birth certificate? He said it is NOT the window sticker, which is what I showed him at the wash.

I'm all new to something like this... anyone know what the person is referring to?

Supposedly Ford will send you a certificate of authenticity.

Snowflee17, you are not giving out correct information. That site has nothing to do with getting an official certificate. I registered mine on that site and nothing was posted regarding certificates. I actually bought one from that site & I could have printed a much better one @ home. Looking forward to seeing your certificate. Tell me I'm wrong...

I'll show you the certificate clearly states it's from the Special Vehicle Registry, trying looking at ausomtiger's it says the same thing!

From the website you provided earlier, I went to the store it has lasted at the bottom to order my certificate. Guess they aren't on the up & up. See my screenshot.

I can honestly tell you I never ordered the certificate! When my wife told me that something came in from Ford I thought it my poster or the center caps, I wasn't expecting the certificate!

My dealership told me today that they had to send my vehicle information to an email address in order to process the center caps, when I got that information I tried sharing it. But others said that wasn't the case for them, so I don't know anymore

Yep, I passed it to my dealership. He called me back & said it was not Ford Performance issue but, would pass it on if more dealerships call.
