My wife has bad knees and finds it a chore to climb in and out of my Telluride. (I have a folding stool to aid in the process, but she doesn't trust it.) She actually finds the Mustang friendlier in this respect -- just sit way down into the passenger seat and pivot.
Surprisingly, I've discovered that my 90-year-old mother, who uses a walker and normally has a really tough time getting into the Telly, shares this sentiment. I had to pick her up at the hospital ED after a slight fall, and was worried that I'd have to go home to change vehicles first. But she was fine with the Mustang. The following week, I had to drive her to her doctor's office, and I asked her which car she preferred. She chose the Mustang! It's still a bit tricky for her to get out and stand up, but she's less anxious about the whole process.
The Telluride, with its second-row captain's chairs and massive leg room, still can't be beat for transporting multiple passengers. But I definitely did not expect that a Mustang would be such a useful complement to my chauffeuring duties.
