I am looking into this. I called Whipple directly and one of my questions was about the cats. They told me to remove the cats

They are not wrong . I removed my cats and used the 3' performance pipe. I could have gone with the H.O.CATS, or the( ?GS1?) CATS (apologies, I forgot what they are called), but in the end, several people, including my tuner and a Whipple rep, said at stage 2, or custom tune, get rid of the cats. The GT500 CATS are not made of the same material as the NA cars. I never had issues with my GT500 CATS, though, admittedly, I did not have it at the same power level as my WarHorse.

Have not had any issues thus far. Last night I was driving the WH, and I decided, hmmm I have not had it in track mode yet. (Exhaust). Turned it on, was driving along, hmm not so bad.... dropped down from 4th to 3rd, BRAAHHHH POP POP POP POP BRRRRRMMM. It was so loud it actually shocked me. I literally jumped a little in my seat. I did have the window down, but still...I was truly not expecting that. So track mode=RACE CAR LOUD. Got it.

Lol, I am truly wondering what it will sound like at WOT, Full send. I have not had a chance to do that; a lot of rain here in the shadows. I am expecting, though, it will be glorious.

speaking from experience having daily driven the FP supercharger for over a year now, the cats are fine. trundling around town, pushing it onto a highway on ramp, or flooring it on a back road to turn rubber into smoke, never had an issue with the cats. that said, i do agree if you do go stage 2, then get rid of the cats or go HO.
