You are still showing your lack of understanding. His driving and evaluation experiencel is so far above 99% of all racers that the fractions he may have lost are more than made up for with his decades of racing experience. Do you think Mario (at 80+) couldn't still smoke you or me at any time? Think again.

1965 Cobra,
Wouldn't he be slower somewhat equally on all of the cars, assuming your theory is true?

Also, if being 68 makes him slower, it is probably by fractions of a second. I mean, if you review his Wikipedia entry, he is still winning or placing things he enters, including as recently as 2021 and 2023.
Yes you are right. My 86 YO MIL is available to run a comparative test as well lol. I’m not trying to be argumentative I’ll just saying that most pro athletes are done by age 40. Hand/eye, reaction time, strength, etc. getting old sucks - and I like Randy. I’m just stating the obvious. Yes comparatively maybe ranking wouldn’t have changed. But maybe all three would’ve reflected faster times who knows.

Thank you, Junkyard Dog. I'm actually a tiny bit older than the average on here and drive balls out damn near constantly. It's called practice. It does hone your skills and makes you react thru muscle memory. I'm quicker on a road course and in the quarter than I ever was 20 years ago, even driving a very well built big block 428SCJ with heavily massaged suspension. The science in our new cars is simply amazing. I'm a mechanical engineer that specializes in engine design and development. I'm astonished by the 4th Gen Coyote. I would have sworn 20 years ago that 12:1 compression was only going to happen in maxed out drag cars in the future.

Dead right. After a few years if enforcement driving riding, I'll put my ability to get through traffic quickly and safely up against any boi racer who cares to try.
Not a slouch in fast road driving either, but I have toned down a little, a Grabber Blue GT does stand out a bit. I don't want too many squinty Police eyes looking at me.
