That's why the election results looked like this. America rejected crazy, even though the crazies are often the loudest.
And to be clear, I have friends on both sides of the aisle, very reasonable, respectable, intelligent, and hard-working friends. But those weren't the type of people that were given the spotlight for the party, and the voters' voices were heard loud and clear.
