Just got notified from the dealer that there is a stop sale on the GT they dealer traded for- and I was supposed to take delivery of on Saturday.

"Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Nautilus, Mustang Mach E, and Mustang vehicles. The LED Driver Modules may contain a burnt diode, which can cause the low-beam and highbeam headlights, daytime running lights, front position lights, and front turn signals to fail in the affected headlight...As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

"Exterior lighting failure can reduce visibility for the driver and other road users, increasing the risk of a crash."

"Dealers will inspect and replace the LED Driver Modules, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk are expected to be mailed August 25, 2025. Second letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C39."

Does anyone know if this is a exterior portion of the light, or is it the light board itself requiring a complete new headlight assembly?

It says to inspect and replace if necessary- does that mean if it’s not required to be replaced that it can still be sold?

I see the parts that were listed above. That seems odd to test, certainly can not be visually, unless a complete none working headlight is the test/failure. Otherwise is there any Ford techs that can speak on how they can test if the circuit board has a faulty diode yet is still letting the light work? How do they know that once it is considered "ok" that it wont just fail soon after? Just food for thought. Trying to understand how they go about doing some of these things. Thanks.

I don’t have a 2025 but my 2024 just did this today. Noticed that my driver side sequential turn signal function wasn’t working and when I got out to check I noticed the DRL was out completely. I have a feeling they will update this to include 2024s as well

I was literally two weeks from taking delivery of my custom ordered 2025…on fords website it says the “remedy” will be out Q4 of this year so between October/December. This quite literally sucked the excitement I had right out of me.

I emailed the dealership and all he could tell me is “4th quarter estimates on a recall release are subject to change. It could come sooner, or it could go into next year. I’ve seen my fair share of recalls beat estimates of release, and I’ve others go even longer.”
