I have a very steep garage and concerned about the ground clearance. Problem is the beginning of my driveway is sloped up, then slopes down steep, creating a peak about 4 feet or so in before it goes down.

My friend who has a 22 Camaro Zl1 drove down my driveway and scraped the bottom at the peak, however my other friend has a 23 Corvette 3LT and he was able to go down with no problem.

Reading ground clearances for all three cars, the camaro is 4 inches, the corvette is 5.3 inches, and the Mustang is 6 inches. These are google searched and not sure how accurate they are. Assuming they are I guess I don't have a problem, but still worried until I pick my car up on Tuesday.

Can anyone provide insight?

It's actually 8ft in not 4 ft where it peaks.

Trying to avoid coming in at an angle cause planning on parking a second car on the driveway and it will be difficult angling in.

I would move the other car and angle it in..... only chance you have....I know a total pain but I have to move cars around my house all the time to get cars out.....you get used to it after a while......either that or get a lift system installed as well.....or something to raise the car up like air ride......

Or better yet- see if you can rent a Mustang from one of the big rental places and try it out.....I would say Turo one but wouldnt want to do that to a individual......

I guess worst case I park on the street. Ideally I can park it in my garage.

I should've rented one months ago before I placed my order.

@Lakersfreak ..... I used to build houses. Why is your driveway crowned like that? From what I see it would be easy to use a cut saw to score both ends of the rise then break-up in between the lines and re pour in a flatter angle. If you need the slope to keep rain from running down the driveway put a SS drain across it. Am I missing something? Seems like it would be worth the cost in the long run.

Take it slow and keep checking the first time.
The corvette and mustang have the same wheel base.
The Corvette can lift almost two inches at the front but that's only one inch at the center.
I don't see lowering springs in your future!

Old home in Los Angeles. It was for sure done for storm water control. Indo eventually need to redo the whole front yard so that's definitely an option in the future.

I forgot to mention, I had a 2013 Mustang and don't remember having issues. Not sure if the ground clearance and wheelbase is the same. I guess my friends Camaro scared me today. Hopefully it's not am issue. I'll update here when I bring it home in a few days.
