Hi all, any of you noticed the Mustang’s start and stop function not functioning when it seats idle for 4-5 days or not be driven in highway for long. Is that normal? As if the battery level is too low.

It is normal and working as designed. Keep an eye on the condition, the auto stop/start should resume functioning during the drive. If it doesn't begin activating after about 45 minutes in one drive, you may have a battery or charge issue that's more than just a few days sitting idle. Look for messages from Ford pass about deep sleep mode. You shouldn't see that for about 10-14 days idle. Another thing you might notice is the passenger side 'intelligent access' may be inactive. This is part of the logic to preserve the battery health. A good long drive will charge it right back up.

This forum is replete with tales of deep sleep mode, parasitic drains, having to use a trickle charger, etc.
Those of us with healthy batteries don't have to resort to the trickle chargers and can go 2+ weeks of sitting.

I don't the stop/start (Dark Horse) but I have it on my Raptor. 45 minutes is the longest its taken for that to resolve - Listened to the truck stereo for about 3 hours washing and waxing the truck.
