I am getting my Whipple installed in a couple weeks and I am thinking about adding a different spoiler. I want to go gloss black to tie in with the front end more. I have ordered two different ones and both are garbage. First one was $200 and second one was $300 but they both seemed really cheap and had serious flaws in the plastic (see pic below).

Does anyone know of one that is much better quality but doesn’t cost a grand or more? Do I just need to accept I need to spend a certain amount?

I currently have an RTR duckbill spoiler on it (see pic below) that is actually very nice but it is more satin black. I could just paint the one I have now. The RTR duckbill seems very well made and free of imperfections.. I can’t imagine painting it gloss black would cost more that couple hundred bucks.

Ps: I still have my original deck lid which has no holes (spoiler delete) so I am not tied to any specific mountings.

Currently it sounds like you already have $500+ in spoiler costs without the RTR included. I put a carbon fiber on mine, wasn’t cheap, but the finish is flawless. There are several sponsors on this forum that could provide what you need with a warranty. I would reach out to them and see who is interested in a sale.

You could put gloss finish PPF on your current spoiler to convert the look?

Im researching parts...
Im curious what all these $250 gloss black dark horse spoiler looks like that everyone is selling...

That current duck bill you have matches the rear bumper perfectly....
But I get it, I was looking at gloss black too...
