If I do the "Accessory" mode, the seat moves. I guess I can live with that. It was just a bit weird that when I first enabled the "Easy Entry/Exit" it worked when I started the car.
Just try doing it a few times. Before long it will become second nature. I did it this way in my Grand Cherokee for 8+ years. The vehicle must override the repositioning of the seat when you crank the engine and force you to do it with the button. I really think you'll prefer it this way once you get used to it. Only takes a few seconds.

I just re-read the documentation on the subject. It is not at all clear the proper way to use this option.

Now that I went for a drive, I find it a bit awkward to press the button (seat moves forward), depress the clutch (nothing happens), and press the button again to start the car.

What's awkward about it? Other than waiting for the seat to move up, nothings different? Depressing the clutch before pressing the start button is the same regardless. Give it a few more tries and see if it starts to feel more natural.

...I usually hit the start button first, then put the seat belt on while the seat is getting into position.

Did you have any problems installing the front splitter? I'm debating doing this also. You have me considering a wheel swap too. Nice choice. Those look really good.
After getting the ford splitter home, I test fitted it several times. There is double faced tape preinstalled that goes down on top of the existing small front lip and it hooks into the front wheel well, including a portion at the bottom. It also comes with a small cleaner pad and a small adhesion promoter pad, as well as a tube of black adhesive.

The instructions say to put the adhesive (you will need a caulking gun) in the hollow of the splitter, and to not let it touch the double faced tape. When I test fitted the spoiler, it was clear that when properly lined up, the channel where the instructions said to apply the adhesive would be about an inch away from the bumper, and not much use.

I put the car up on ramps and after cleaning and using the adhesion promoter, attached the spoiler using the double faced tape. I then drilled a pilot hole up through the flat end of the splitter where it overlapped the horizontal portion of the fender well on each side, and put in a short self tapping screw through both.

From the bottom, using the caulking gun, I put the adhesive along the back edge of the splitter, at the top, where it was made contact with the front of the car. I had a rubber glove on, and used my finger to smear a decent layer of the adhesive into the crack and along the edges.

I let the car sit for 24 hours and then took it for a long drive at good speeds, stopping every now and then to check the splitter. I have since washed the car and checked the splitter, and it has not moved and feels very secure. I have my doubts that following the instructions would be as secure, but overall it was easy to install and a couple of extra steps only took a few minutes.

I will attach pictures that show the end of the screw and location, along with a picture looking straight up from the ground at the splitter, showing the area where I applied the adhesive.

I installed the same piece using the enclosed instructions, the only place where I deviated from them was to run the silicone bead just under the tape line. It adheres to the original lip that way. So far, it appears to be adhering well and looks great. I just didn't want anything too big.

I had to press the Start button a second time.

Yes, the start/stop ignition button is what I'm talking about. I sit down, press the ignition button, seat moves forward, then I depress the clutch and start the engine with a second press of the ignition button.

I don't find it hard to reach the ignition button at all when the seat is back. BUT I do find it very hard to depress the clutch all the way in to start the car before the seat moves up into position.
I guess what gets me is that the seat movement when I press the start button (with clutch in), sometimes the seat moves, but most times it does not. Lately, when I press the Startr button to STOP the engine, the seat is NOT moving back.
