Security lug nut key question.

Sorry if this question has been posted before but should the size of the lug nut and key be the same size (length)? I haven’t installed the keys yet but don’t think this is right and I’m concerned due to possible weight mismatch.

No, the size different doesn't matter. In fact having an obvious difference or color on the wheel lock is a theft deterrent itself.
Weight mismatch is negligible. Specially since it is close to the center of the wheel.

BTW I got Gorilla 96641DX too. Works fine.

It's correct. If you really want to see lock lugs that vary wildly, look at the ones on an F150 or Expedition or Navigator.
