Scratch guard behind door handle?

Is this from the factory or is it something the dealer installed? It’s already starting to peel and looks worse than what it’s trying to prevent.

Perhaps it is a protective film from the factory, intended to be removed at delivery, which dealer forgot to do?

Mine didn't have it from the dealer, but it does now. They added a larger piece when I had the front end PPF'd.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't think about it until it was mentioned, but I looked at my window sticker. My dealer does some "special" things... this was one of them. They also put a strip along the edge of the door (that was already starting to peel up on the passenger side).

All are coming off...

For some reason my Ecoboost has that protective film behind the door handle, but my GT premium doesn't.
