Hello there! I've been driving my 2025 Ecoboost for nearly 3 months now. When I first bought my Ecoboost, I put it in Sport mode for driving, along with changing the color theme for the clusters. Up until about a week ago, my car no longer saves my drive mode. Up until last week, each time I fire it up, it starts in Sport mode. Now though, it starts up in Normal mode.

Really? I wonder why it was saving my drive mode then and suddenly it's not?

Ok. Then I don't know why it was saving my driving mode then. I made a custom driving mode of Sport, plus red themed and moved around my cluster display. All that saved each and every time I fired her up. But now, it no longer goes to that customer mode and reverts back to normal mode.

Are you sure it was really in sport mode and not just saving the last cluster theme you selected?

Mustangs never start in anything other than normal mode. It's been an owner gripe since the S550 came out. If it really did that for you, you had a unicorn. Capture and study it. Do not release back into the wild.

I suppose it's possible. But it's strange because it was starting up with my cluster theme already saved. And now it keeps reverting back to normal mode with reverted cluster layout. This weekend I'm going to make another custom cluster layout and see if it saves that.

Cluster layouts can
change with mode
or be selected for all modes.
You could have ’68 gauges, Fox body, ’01 SVT or new gauge themes.

custom colors can also be saved, independent of the cluster theme.

It may be that you had the cluster and colors you wanted, but the car decided to reset the cluster, which whacks the custom colors. Some of the OTA software updates also delete customer drive modes.

Do you have one of key-fobs programmed with your settings? Have you just started using the second key-fob lately?

Hmmm, that could be the likely culprit then. Perhaps I created the cluster color theme on Normal mode and thought it was Sport mode.

Mine saves the display on the dashboard, but it always starts in Normal mode.
Ok. I'm thinking that the display settings saved but I was driving in normal this entire time. But I still don't understand why it doesn't save my display settings. Someone mentioned that maybe I had an update and my display settings were reset.

Most likely this is the case.

The display colors should save no matter what.

As for the guage cluster settings, are you trying to save it for all modes or just the custom mode?
